The hotel is ok, although everything is a bit old and worn down. The bed wasn't too comfortable. The service was not bad but not great. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because the price is too high for what you get.

Comfortable stay
Very spacious apartment-style rooms with a separate bedroom. It was very convenient to malls and businesses. The only negative is that the elevators were very slow so there was a lot of waiting around.

Friendly staff but room needs work
The staff are all very friendly and efficient and the downstairs lobby is simple but nice. The room had comfortable beds and was very clean, however, the furnishings were outdated and worn out. The bathroom was also very clean but the bathtub was old and rusty and the plumbing did not work very well (the toilet kept getting stopped up for no apparent reason).

A good value for the price
It was a comfortable room and in a good location for my business meetings. However, the decor is very dated and the fixtures need to be updated. The room service was friendly, but the food was subpar. The internet was so slow as to be nearly unusable. However, the staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful where they could. Overall a good value for the cost.

Convenient and excellent as a business hotel
Although this appears to be an older hotel it has been recently refitted and is in excellent condition. The room was quite comfortable and had plenty of room to get work done. The hotel wifi worked well. The staff was superb - went out of their way to accommodate us on early arrival and were pleasant and helpful through out the stay. The breakfast was good, plenty of variety, convenient, and quite tasty.

Great location for business in area
This was a modestly priced hotel that provided a basic clean apartment style room in a great location for someone having meetings in the area. Many of my meetings were within walking distance. The hotel has free internet and while it was not super modern, the three and a half star rating reflected the quality. There is also a modest restaurant on site. I would recommend for any business traveler on a budget.

The surrounding buildings were under heavy and constant construction. This made the stay uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. In a year or two this will be quite different.

Very advisable hotel but for two people in single beds take care because I had two narrow beds in a very small bedroom that was part of a very comfortable apartment..

Overall the place was fine for a business stay. The hotel public areas were a little tired and the rooms were sparse but the mini suite was adequate for my business needs.

Needs refurbishing
This hotel is at an excellent location but there is a noisy construction going on right in front of it. The hotel is also getting old so a refurbishment would help. Avoid consuming any item from the mini-bar since they are outrageously priced.

Mercure The Must - A solid, if basic, choice
This is a solid choice for a business traveler. The hotel is not fancy - but it IS safe (good security), with a nice coffee shop, reliable internet access, and basic ability to print (although only in B&W). One nice bonus is that the rooms are actually mini-apartments. You have a separate bedroom (with a door), bathroom, and a little kitchenette with a breakfast bar setup and a couch/TV. It's a nice set up for someone traveling for a few days. You can have a mini office in your room and have a separate place to sleep. It's close to major highways, which can save some time if you're trying to get to a meeting (choose your neighborhood wisely , according to where you need to be - Sao Paulo traffic is a nightmare!).

The good:The lobby is nice looking but the hotel tries too hard to make it look 'fancy' by placing bad replicas of paintings in the lobby. There are working elevators. The pre-paid reservations (via [...]) were easily found. The front desk tries really really hard. The rooms are clean and nearly look like the rooms pictured on the hotel's website and on Orbitz. The pool looks nice and seems rarely used. There is a workout room and a restuarant. Internet wireless worked fiarly well and was only 35 real for a week (at least that's what were told and 50 for a month). Overall price slightly cheaper than similar properties. The bad:Check-in and any and all communications with the front desk is very frustrating as even the 'best' English speaking clerk barely spoke English. It took 5 times longer than it should to simply check-in. frustrating. First clerk tried to charge us again even though we were pre-paid via [...] (and charged by AmEx before we left the US). The 2nd clerk spoke better English and processed us through but it still took too long (considering the tons of hotels I've stayed in across the globe). The elevators required keycard to work and were very difficult to get in and out off when sporting wheeled luggage as there is a literally door you must open to get on/off the elevator. The rooms were ok. No irons for your use in the entire hotel. Laundy service must take your clothes if you want them pressed/ironed. The workout room is an a canopy off the pool area and open to the elements so you'll get a good sweat in during the day.The ugly:I was actually double-charged for 2 of the rooms and had to have charged cancelled because the clerk charged my card instead of just putting a hold for incidentals. The elevator only allows you to select YOUR floor and nobody else's so if you are traveling with 2 other people and all are on different floors then you must have someone from the front desk use their key card to select the floor for you. But you must wait for someone to become available to do this for you. Eventually, I did receive a 2nd keycard just to use in the elevator to get up to my colleagues room where we often worked when not at the office. I've never been a fan of Accor properties but this left me with such a negative impression from start to finish that the hordes of colleagues coming to support our new South American operations will NOT be staying at this hotel under my recommendations. Too bad

Governança deixou a desejar
A estrutura do hotel é muito boa, e o atendimento é geral é bom, o café da manhã é diversificado. Tive problema um dia quanto à limpeza do quarto, deixei o papel informando que poderiam entrar para fazer a limpeza, ao sair liguei pra recepção para informar que já estava desocupado, solicitei reposição de sabonete líquido, mas quando retornei nada tinha sido feito. Alegaram também que eu tinha deixado o papel de não perturbe, o que não condiz com a verdade, ainda assim, entraram e repuseram 2 sabonetes em barra (o que não foi o solicitado), mostrando certo descaso da governança para com o hospede.

Muito boa estadia. Ótimo café da manhã. O quarto é bom, mas precisa melhorar a TV, pois os canais não pegam direito (a maioria fica tremendo, impossibilitando assistir). Outro necessidade é ajustar o box, pois quando toma banho fica vazando água para o restante do banheiro (quarto 25).

Hotel antigo e com a cama quase colada na parede
Achei o quarto em si pequeno e não reflete nas fotos isso. Se estão duas pessoas não da pra entrar por um dos lados, como se a cama estivesse quase encostada em uma parede. Infelizmente não tinha como me mudarem de quarto, solicitei na recepção. Primeira e ultima vez que fiquei lá. Consigo outros hotéis pelo mesmo preço ou até mais baratos tão bem localizados e mais novos.

Uma 6a feira no Mercure São Paulo JK-Funchal 111
Deixou muito a desejar nossa estadia neste hotel. Na verdade uma decepção. Habitação Privilege, não tem nada em especial. Ao perguntar, se era está mesma à habitação, na recepção disse que era, por possuir uma máquina elétrica de café ( e esse era o diferencial ) Achei estranho, reservei num quarto Provilege, porém não porta de alguns existe esta placa e no que fui direcionado, não havia. Chão de madeira trincado, faltou um roupão, não havia chinelos de pano, faltou sabonete líquido, papel toalha no recipiente próprio. Não precisamos, mas não havia sacos plásticos para descarte de necessidade mensais femininas. Hospedagem para dois, na entrada ( chocolate para 1). Completamente desnecessário reservar quarto comum para o tal “Privilege”. Pagar mais caro por confirmo nenhum adicional. Tanto que ao chegar no quecestavs destinado para nós, eu pedi para trocar ( visto que a categoria me parecia andar alto e no alocaram no 6o andar). Decepcionante!!!
