"Love the hotel facilities. Boutique hotel feel with very nice decor. Daniel gave us great service at the bar and restaurant while we were there. The rooms need a bit of updating specially the bathrooms but they were very clean and comfortable. Beautiful view from the balcony. "

"Probably the nicest and most idyllic place we’ve ever stayed, this was an exceptionally well kept and peaceful location to stay in the Douro. Telmo was so kind and helpful before and during our stay, as were all the staff. We had an excellent tour and tasting, and we decided to eat in both minus (a good decision). "You must have a car while visiting this property. Otherwise there is nothing to do. There is a very nice outdoor pool that is not heated. So it must be warm enough outside to enjoy it. The hotel offers a nice breakfast. There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel. About a half mile walk from the hotel is a very expensive restaurant with a limited menu. I don't believe it is open for lunch. Another reason you need a car. During check in I noticed a large hose slightly larger than a dryer hose going into one of the rooms down the hallway. I inquired about it and the staff said it was for construction. After checking into our downstairs room which was very nice ( the hotel is a beautiful property with beautiful views of the vineyards and countryside) we went for a walk on the property. We noticed a red truck in the courtyard with a hose going inside the hotel. This was the hose I saw earlier. The truck said Heatwork, Rentokil. My wife believed it was for the killing of bedbugs. We left the next day one day earlier than our planned stay and were not given a refund. The hotel did not answer or reply to my calls or email when asking for a refund for the one night. In summary, a great place to stay if you have a car and just want to chill at the pool."

"This large home has several well appointed hotel-style rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated. The homey sitting area on the ground floor has comfortable seating conducive to conversing with other guests. Breakfast is diverse and excellent. The hotel location has lovely views of the town and vine covered hillsides."
