Beautiful property and beautiful family. The private tour of the local sites and Duoro valley river are a must - it’s a more personalized and intimate experience than those big group tours. Worth every penny. Even more, they accommodate to special requests. With the help and coordination of the family (Edu in particular), I successfully proposed to my longtime girlfriend. This place will always hold a special place for me. I look forward to returning.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. One of the things I enjoyed most was its location among the vineyards. Stepping outside and walking through the surrounding area offered beautiful views of the Douro landscape and made for a truly relaxing experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food was also excellent. Everything exceeded my expectations. If I could give this hotel 8 stars out of 5, I would. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Douro Valley.

Fantastic stay here, quiet and comfortable room looking out on vineyards. Owners and their son were the most gracious of hosts. The meals in the evening were delicious and made with locally sourced ingredients. Lots of variety at breakfast. Totally recommend.

Nestled in the heart of the Duoro Valley, we had a wonderful stay at Casa Dona Edite and were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the family that runs this place. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The views of the Douro Valley vineyards and hills were stunning, and we especially loved the family-style dinners, where we met so many interesting people. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious homemade offerings each morning. The amenities were modern and spotless, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spending time with the friendly family dog. The family-made 25 year old port wine was also fantastic and a highlight of our stay. Transfers to and from Pinhão were easy and convenient. Casa Dona Edite offers a warm, authentic Douro Valley experience, and we would happily return. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Very nice guesthouse with fantastic hosts. A very good breakfast with a nice variety of food including homemade sweet breads and jam . We recommend getting a dinner there. Hiking trails through the vineyards nearby.

We loved staying at Casa Dona Edite! It’s a tastefully decorated, modern guesthouse and the owners, Antonio and Cristina and their son, Eduardo are the perfect hosts. Cristina is an excellent Cook and baker, and we strongly recommend to have your dinner meals there. She also bakes loaves and cakes as part of the breakfast offerings. Well worth the drive up the hill to stay at their place!

Loved our stay at Casa Dona Edite. The rooms were very clean and modern. The owners Antonio and Cristina were the most amazing hosts. The dinner option they offer is a must. The homemade food they prepared was absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for the great advice on what to do and see in the Douro Valley it was much appreciated. I can’t say enough good things about the family that runs Casa Dona and the property. They went above and beyond for our stay. From recommendations on what to do, traditional Portuguese dinners being served; cooked by the family and when my wife and I couldn’t get a taxi in the morning they drove us to the train station. The property was beautiful, clean and quiet.

Amazing hidden gem in Douro valley!

What an amazing stay! This place is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is amazing. The best part are the amazing hosts! They make it very comfortable and can provide great local tips. Very relaxing environment and a great breakfast included. It was such a good hidden gem that my wife and I considered canceling the rest of our travel plans the next week to just stay, relax and take in the area.

This is a new bed and breakfast and was very modern and clean. The husband, wife and son team running it were wonderful and very accommodating. We showed up at dinner time without a reservation for dinner and they were able to serve us a wonderful dinner. I would definitely recommend it.
