"Quiet,relaxing, and delicious breakfast. Rental car best way to explore Maderia. Note: existing hotel lot is a one way left turn only. Hotel needs to clear shrubs to see on-coming cars easer. "

"Great accomodation in Machico. Very good communication when arriving late to pick up key. Breakfast was fab with some of the best bread I have ever tasted. Room was great with a view over the Ponta de sao lourenço, has very good bus links to other parts of the island and some great walks in the local vicinity. Also very close to all amenities in Machico. Bus station 10 minutes walk but there is also a bus stop within 4 minutes walk. Bed super comfy and the shower unit superb. Would definitely recommend and would use again. Cheers😁😁"

"Please note that this review is for the Hotel Solar do Bom Jesus in Santa Cruz - I was asked to move to this hotel when Hotel Amparo requested that I move to their sister hotel due to short-notice issues with the hotel. This was fine for me and it was handled very well by both hotels."
