A perfect week away
Ca'n Turricano was exactly what we'd hoped for. We were three couples with a 1 1/2 year old and the house was perfect as a base for the week, both for its location and for lazing about by the pool. Pedro stopped by a few times during the week to check in and deliver fresh towels or add extra time onto the air con (9pm to 5am was standard but we added extra hours for €2 p/hr p/day as the mid-July heat was hard to put a baby to sleep in!).
It's a 10 minute walk to Portopetro which has several great restaurants, a well appointed shop/deli, a handful of tourist/clothing shops, and also to a small beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling. FYI: The nearby Ikos resort does not allow day passes for the spa.
The location was quiet with plenty of street parking. The construction site next door was no problem at all as whatever work was being done was happening too far away to hear.
Our highlights of the trip were the market at Santanyí, exploring some of the small coves around the island, and cooking fresh fish on the charcoal BBQ at the villa.
