"Should not be 5 star. The food was fine, pretty much same standard AI as you normally get. The pool is huge and very lovely if you are quick enough in the morning to get a sunbed. The rooms need updating, comfy bed but old, cheap furniture not 5 star quality. We went into town 5 nights out of our 7, it takes about 15 mins to walk and we did it during the day and after dark no problem at all. Taxi option is also very easy. So much better than staying in the hotel, I wish I had gone B&B. The beach is much better near town as well as the waves are crazy near the hotel. If I went back I would not return here. "

"The pool bar staff were so unprofessional. Ignored people and laughed at me when I asked if they had the Cape Verdean Malta drink. They were so rude. I have never seen such bad costuner service in Sal before. The front desk staff we very nice and polite however. The place needs upgrades as the bathroom is old but was clean, the bed was unconfortble though and very loud at any movement. The place is generally is good. The bad part is that I booked this layover to work but was unable because they had no wifi for 24 hours and offered no solutions. "
