"Hotel Jolanda was perfect for our stay. Though it is a very old building, it has been well maintained and felt quite elegant. We had a corner room with balcony that looked down the street toward the harbor. There was no harbor view, but the few blocks toward the harbor provided everything we could want: groceries, bakery, gelato, restaurants, etc. It was a lovely neighborhood. The breakfast buffet was outstanding each morning, complete with coffee choices, fruit, pastries, meats, etc. Much more than we expected. Valet parking is off-site, which was not a problem. You can walk to everything within town. We took the ferry to Portofino and found it to be much smaller and less walkable. Santa Margherita is a lovely authentic town."

The hotel is beautiful, charming, and in the perfect location in Santa Margherita Ligure — close to everything while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the entire property has so much character. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel right at home. Such a special little hotel and the perfect base for exploring the Ligurian coast. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!"

"The hotel is in a great location. However, it needs some updating. The biggest thing is the elevator needs to be updated!!!! My sister and I got stuck inside which was a traumatic situation. It stopped and the doors opened half way then the doors got stuck and it would not move once the doors closed. The staff acted like this happens all the time. It was extremely hot and no air and a frightening experience. Other guests were complaining about the elevator to deaf ears. It might be a good idea to update the breakfast with a bit more options. The rest of the stay was good."

The room was very small so I request an upgrade which I was happy to pay for- the receptionist explained they had a room but it was being cleaned, for us to go enjoy lunch and come back to sort it out. On our return they had sold the room to someone else. Hotel location is nice, rooms tiny and old/ worn. Beach set up in also very small with sun loungers crammed together. the beach is lovely. Stay in a proper hotel and come use the beach!"

"Beautiful property and location. Everyone on the staff was pleasant and welcoming. Vistamare breakfast and dinner were excellent. Pool and beach area are well kept and inviting. The concierge and reception staff were all first class and provided exemplary service. I would highly recommend this luxurious property if you are staying in or near Santa Margarita Ligure."
