"Service is at a very “relaxed” pace, particularly in the restaurant. I couldn’t check in until 3pm so had a couple beers at the hostel next door. Location next to the dock is *super* convenient, but boat is traffic is constant so can be a bit noisy. Only a couple mins walk to Stand Up Paddle Atitlan (highly recommend their sunrise tour). Room was comfortable, although mine had no door between the bed and bathroom so something to keep in mind if you’re not traveling solo! Had a great view over the lake from my room, and appreciated the Adirondack chairs outside for blinding in the sun. Hot shower was great. Sweet dogs lazing around the property."

"Absolutely wonderful stay! Posada de Don Rodrigo in Panajachel exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is beautiful, charming, and perfectly located right by Lake Atitlán, with stunning views that never get old. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The staff truly stood out—everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely gardens, and easy access to the lake and town made our stay feel special and authentic. It’s the perfect balance of comfort, tranquility, and local charm. "What an absolutely amazing experience staying here! Everything from the prime location between Panajechel and Santa Catarina to the excellent service provided from Manu and the rest of the staff here was more than memorable. We enjoyed the most delicious fresh free breakfast at the restaurant and drinks from the cocktail bar every day. The massage at the spa was otherworldly!! And the best part is the two most amazing roommates Samson and Delilah, the friendliest cats that stay on the property! Other reviewers may mention outdated rooms or linen, however you don’t come here for the most modern accommodations in Guatemala. You come for it to feel like home. The attention to detail in each room and from the staff gives you everything you might need. We enjoyed massages from the amazing spa staff, were provided cheap, reliable TukTuks back and forth from whatever town we liked, and got the best priced transport back to the airport! They even had our laundry done! For any stay in Panajechel this will always be my go to. Good people, fair prices, and great vibes. Can’t ask for more! Thank you Jenna’s River B&B!"
