Hotel Smeraldo
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at the Smeraldo. It’s a cute clean hotel with a great location. So close to major sights and places to eat. The hotel staff was wonderful answering questions prior to and during our stay. We were a large party staying pre cruise and they were always patient and they helpful getting taxis and directions to wherever we needed. Loved the rooftop bar and the included breakfast. There was a Rick Steves tour staying there at the same time…if he includes it in his tour package .. you know it’s good ! "
"Wonderful new property with excellent AC which was welcome after very hot days of exploring. The location was perfect, a short walk to attractions but outside the touristy areas and their noise. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and the support of the host was top notch. "
"Easily one of the best hotels to stay if you find yourself in Rome. It’s not too far from the sights, and it sits on a Main Street. The staff is very attentive and caring and puts forth a conscious effort to ensure your stay is what you intend. The shower is amazing, the beds are incredible, and the breakfast is worth every penny.
I requested a late checkout, and they were able to squeeze in what they could for me on a very busy day, so I’m grateful. "
"Great location for quick access to site seeing. The onsite site restaurant was excellent and accommodating.
My only complaint is there was some minor mold and mildew in the shower/tub tile. A little bleach would help with that. Also, the street the hotel is on has a lot of bars, so you will hear music past midnight in the summer months, if you are in a room street side. The staff did change my room and move my bags while I was out site seeing to a room farthest away from the street. This was much better. Over, it was a very good stay there. "
