Such a lovely place to stay in
Everyone was friendly and helpful
The property location was perfect for us, a quiet beach nearby and station 10 min walk
The property itself was nice and the view was amazing
Would recommend!
What a beautiful location, peaceful and comfortable rooms, walking distance to good restaurants, grocery store and to boat tour charters. The nuns where super kind
Our stay was lovely, and we booked the room with an ocean view. However, depending on the site you book this hotel you might not get all the details. They do have a curfew of 23:30 and no air conditioning. Luckily booking the ocean view we had plenty of breeze and cooler evenings (September).
Omg the views are to die for, especially on floor 3, rooftop terrace. The room was quite big as was the bathroom. The nuns are lovely. You get breakfast included and there is a lift to every floor. Breakfast is a buffet and so much choice, as much as you want. Its a different kind of hotel maybe because its run by nuns but its so tranquil and we actually loved it. We went to the roof to have a wine and cigarette and just gaze at the view. We loved it and spent 4 nights there. Highly recommend.
On our trip to Italy we primarily came south for the coastal views. It was the more relaxing part of the trip. This provided that in abundance. Lovely views from the hotel window and terrace, small walk to the beach, boat tours available. Small walk to view a beautiful sunset.
The staff was extremely lovely, polite, and caring. Can't say enough nice things.
As vegetarians, we thought there were limited dining options. Otherwise the location was close to two subway lines to get to sorrento, Pompeii, or Naples.
Overall great stay.
Initial arrival was austere but it turned out that we had come to a very calm and special place. Most unusual, simple but excellently located by the charming beach below. The only downside was lack of a/c but the large shuttered balcony allowed made up for this.
We were so happy with the property and the value for money it provides. The nuns were wonderful and allowed you to stay in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
We loved the daily breakfast of cereal, rolls, pastries, juices and coffee/ hot drinks.
The beds were really good quality, the shower had terrific pressure, and the view was fantastic.
It was a relatively easy walk from Sant’Agnello train station, and Sorrento town centre. We also had access to the bus stop for the ride to Positano. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the station with a few narrow paths in case you have a younger family.
Loved our stay and would return.
I couldn’t have felt safer as a solo female traveler than I did at Domus San Vincenzo. The building is secure, quiet, and spotless, which immediately put me at ease. One of my favorite parts was the beautiful garden with seating overlooking the port below—it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the view.
This was my very first trip to Italy, and the views from the terrace honestly took my breath away. Some may say the rooms are outdated but I found them simple and cute. The bed was a bit firm for my taste, but by the time 9 p.m. rolled around, I was so tired from exploring that I slept soundly anyway. The temperature in the room was comfortable at night, and I never had any issues with hot water.
Breakfast was a lovely spread of deli meats, cheese, fresh bread, pastries, coffee, and juice. There’s also a fridge available if you’d like to store your own food, which was really convenient. Do note there’s a curfew at 11:30 p.m.
It took me about 40 minutes to walk into Sorrento, though the bus is an easy alternative. You can grab tickets from any Tabacchi shop. There’s one about a 5 minute walk away. There’s also a grocery store about 15 minutes away. The port just below also offers ferries to Capri, which makes exploring even easier.
Overall, the location was wonderful and the atmosphere felt so peaceful. Staying here truly made my first trip to Italy unforgettable, and I’d happily go back again.
This property is located in pretty Sant Agnello, which is outside of Sorrento; it is a taxi or bus ride to Sorrento, I would not say walkable, as there are no sidewalks connecting the streets. It is a pretty small town, high up on the hill, with amazing views of the surrounding area.
We found the elevator down to the beach (couple of euros) and there are some places to eat and lounge and enjoy the sunset. The park was a pleasant surprise, just across from Domus.
The residence itself with beautiful grounds, is run by nuns, we were lucky one younger one spoke English and was helpful. The older ones are your typical nun, regimented and it is not a typical hotel exerience you will get here, more like a hostel. Breakfast was ok. only seved from 8-9 am.
The room is basic; did not have air conditioning, but did have a fan, was still warm in September. Shower was hot and good water pressure. Our view was out back to the mountains and had small balcony you could step out on.
Taxis are not allowed to come down to the Domus, you need to walk to the Church to the right when you step out. I was able to have her call me one, as my phone would not connect. I dont know if I would stay here again, for the price we paid taxi back and forth to Sorrento, I would rather have stayed in Sorrento.
Second time in here, the nuns who run this place are so lovely. Fresh place but keep in mind its abit old. Views are great. Probably going to stay here a third time aswell
Great experience, good customer service from the sisters at this monestary. Breathtaking views from our balcony. Only complaint is that taxis don’t stop in front of the property. You have to walk about 500 metres on a narrow road with little to no sidewalk. It’s a perilous journey with luggage. It’s also a little far to walk to Sorrento, especially when it’s hot. There is a train that goes to Sorrento but it’s a 20 minute walk to there. Still overall, it’s a unique experience staying in a monestary and it’s a beautiful spot away from the noise and buzz of Sorrento.

Sant Agnello, where the Domus is situated is one stop away from awesome Sorrento. When you book, be sure to print yourself a map to go get to the residence, which is about a 25 minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train which takes you there from the Napoli train station. The view of Mount Vesuvius is awesome, as is the garden overlooking the cliffs of the Mediterannean, and the surrounding mountain views.
