    You’ve found the epitome of “beach vacation” right here at Tarpon Beach #203 — light, airy, and one of the most popular rentals at Cottages to Castles. Units at Tarpon Beach Condominiums are consistently among the most requested on the island, thanks to close proximity to island restaurants, galleries, ...shops, grocery, and the post office — all less than a mile away.

    The Unit: Tarpon Beach #203 sits on the first living level as a corner unit overlooking the pool out to the Gulf, with a designated covered parking space directly underneath and elevator access.

    With only 9 units in Building 2, #203 offers a pool-and-Gulf view, covered parking, dedicated/private beach chair storage, and a bright interior that puts you in vacation mode the moment you walk in.

    Kitchen & Living: Easy-care quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and pull-out drawers make meal prep effortless in the fully-equipped kitchen.

    The living room has a comfy sofa, side chairs and a bonus swivel recliner. The Smart TV can be viewed from the kitchen, dining and living area.

    The dining area seats 4–6 comfortably, while the kitchen island has two barstools for extra seating.

    Bedrooms: The primary bedroom offers a King bed, Smart TV, en-suite bath, custom closet system, Gulf views, and sliding doors to the lanai.

    The guest bedroom also offers a King bed and a Smart TV, with a bathroom and laundry just across the hall.

    Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided throughout.

    Current Note: The outdoor pool is under construction and scheduled to reopen on or before Labor Day 2026. Once complete, the beach boardwalk leads from the pool to a shell-washing station and on to Sanibel’s world-famous sugar-sand beaches.

    Two gas grills sit at the pavilion beside the pickleball and tennis/basketball courts — 30 units total in the complex.

    How far is Tarpon Beach 203 from island shops and restaurants? Less than a mile — among the closest condo complexes to Sanibel’s restaurants, galleries, shops, and post office.

    Are beach towels and beach chairs provided? Yes — a minimum of 2 beach chairs are provided, along with 1 beach towel per person. Beach umbrellas are not provided.

    Are bicycles provided? We don’t provide bicycles — that’s not our specialty. We leave bike rentals to the pros: Billy’s Bikes and Finnimore’s. Both deliver, provide helmets, and offer roadside assistance if needed.

    How do I keep mosquitoes and no-see-ums away during my beach vacation? The best defense is an insect repellent with Picaridin, paired with light, long-sleeve coverage when you're not in the water. Loose, breathable long sleeves and pants block bites well, but that's not always practical at the beach, pool, or swimming in the Gulf — so a good Picaridin-based repellent is your go-to.

    Guest favorites include Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus Picaridin Aerosol Spray and Bug Guard Wipes/Lotion (available on Avon. com), and Sawyer Picaridin Lotion (available on Amazon). Picaridin is effective against both mosquitoes and no-see-ums, doesn't feel greasy like Deet, and won't damage swimsuits or patio furniture. Apply before heading outside in the early morning or evening, when both pests are most active.

Great Vacation

This is a great property with beautiful views steps away from the beach. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication was wonderful before our arrival, during, and at check out.

Great place!

This is a great place to spend a week! Sanibel offers plenty of condo options, but Tarpon Bay is very quiet, convenient and central to all activities. The condo unit was very clean, well equipped and well furnished. The master bed was extremely comfortable! Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay

We rented from December 26th to January 2nd. Our property was clean and updated. I would not change a thing. The pool was heated and the shelling was awesome. Cottages to Castles was so easy to work with.

Tarpon getaway

Perfect location. Second time staying on the property and first time in this unit. No need for a rental car, just a bike. The owner needs a new dresser in the master bedroom especially for longer term renters to settle in and put their things away. The view is incredible.

Wonderful holiday week

Our 3 generation family group enjoyed this Sanibel condo! We found lots to explore and do all week; the pool was an especially popular spot for the preschoolers. We were comfortable in the unit but did experience a couple problems with HVAC controls and TV functions. Both were handled easily & promptly by text (after business hours) with Cottages to Castles management. All in all: Super!

Great condo in Sanibel

We loved our stay at Tarpon Beach #203. The condo was updated and in great shape. Bedrooms were roomy as was the living room, Great screened in porch/balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The covered parking directly under our unit was a nice benefit. Since we traveled by plane, we couldn't bring our usual collection of beach gear...so we were very grateful that the unit provided beach towels, several beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys. Rode bikes every day to shopping and nature trails. The bathrooms were a little small, but not much different than other condos we've stayed at...and in much nicer shape. Wish the master BR had a dresser or chest of drawers. Overall, we really enjoyed the condo and it's location.

Wonderful location and comfortable condo

Sanibel is such a wonderful place to relax and this complex puts you on one of the best stretches of beach, while allowing you to walk or bike to nearby trails, shops, restaurants and grocery. We rented bikes for the week and even biked up to Captiva one day! Simple but clean accommodations make this an easy recommendation.

Very Nice

This is a great spot. The only negative thing I have to say is that the beds are not comfortable at all. All of us had difficulty getting restful sleep as a result. Other than that, it's a wonderful place!

Perfect Location

The condo location was perfect and the property was quiet. We loved looking out at the water everyday. The unit was comfortable and clean and close to pretty much everything. We fell in love with the island and hope to be back soon!

Perfect location, nice view & love the pool! Great for all ages.

We really enjoyed our stay in Sanibel and at this Tarpon Beach unit! This was our 2nd time visiting Sanibel, and we chose to stay at Tarpon Beach again (but in a different unit) because we love the location, proximity to the beach and pool. We love how this complex is small because the pool is never crowded and the grounds feel private even when many tourists are in town. We stayed on the top floor last time which had an amazing view, and even this lower-level unit had a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed many breakfasts and dinners on the screened-in porch thanks to the view! Tarpon Beach worked well for us when we previously visited as a family of three, and it was also great this time when we came back as a family of five. We were happy this unit had the necessary basics for the beach – towels, beach chairs, Tupperware and a cooler. There was also a small umbrella, but we ended up renting a larger tent and we also rented sand toys since there weren’t any in the storage locker. The unit feels very spacious and comfortable, and having a washer/dryer was key for a beach trip with young kids. My constructive feedback for the unit owner is to please get more hooks for the bathrooms and possibly the screened-in porch. There were only two hooks throughout the entire unit, so we had wet beach towels, bath towels and swimsuits strung everywhere to dry. A few hooks would go a long way. :) We booked through VRBO but Cottages to Castles managed the stay. They were incredibly accommodating from beginning to end. Our key broke in the lock, and they had a locksmith come out and fix the issue within 25 minutes or less. We were really impressed with all the rental companies, including Billy’s Bikes and the tent/sand toy company. It was so helpful to have everything delivered and picked up from the complex. The companies made the trip hassle-free from start to finish. We love Sanibel and will definitely come back again! We highly recommend Tarpon Beach.

Nice condo. Quiet pool. Great view. One minute walk to beach. Please note that this condo is immediately next to a public beach access, which made the beach busier than we would have liked. Great location, within an easy bike ride of shopping, restaurants, grocery store, and shell museum.

Great condo with amazing location on the beach

We had a great time staying at this condo on the beach. The location is amazing with easy access to the beach and bike paths. It is a short bike ride to the grocery stores and restaurants. The pool was never very busy and the general community at this location were very kind and welcoming. A great place to stay on Sanibel Island! Can't wait to return.

Covid vacation

Tarpon Bay was ideal for a vacation as we could go to a not crowded beach and do pool time when it was empty or 1-3 other people. With 3 kids it was ideal for bike riding, getting to Bailey’s for groceries, the ice cream store, and best of all Gene’s 2 bookstores. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in the unit for a week in June. The first problem we noted was the cleanliness was not very good. There was hair in the shower drain and a layer of what felt like sand throughout the unit. We had to kill a rather large spider in the linen closet that looked like it had been there awhile. The sheets in the master suite are way to small for the bed and the unit is warm. The electric went out at least three nights in a row. The location was excellent and it does overlook the pool. However, the pool was consistently bug filled and everyone was complaining throughout the units how the pool was way overheated for June. Our biggest complaint was no one had told us about a small unseen mosquito called a noseeum. Beware! We were literally bitten over 100 times and were completely miserable. Could not walk the beach at dawn or dusk and they loved to hang near the pool. We actually were thinking of leaving early because we were so miserable with the scratching.

Absolutely perfect

We feel so fortunate to have selected this property. It is absolutely perfect in every way. The units are well kept as is the facility itself. The landscaping is beautiful with lots of tall majestic palms. It’s a small complex with only 30 units so there is always plenty of room at the pool. The layout is nice with the pool between us and the beach. There is a short charming boardwalk over the dunes to the beach with sitting benches half way next to my favorite palm. The people who manage the properties do an excellent job. They are called Cottages to Castles. Here is a hint for you. If you book directly through them rather than through VRVO you will save yourself one hundred and forty five dollars.
