October 2025 Visit- looking Good

The condo was in excellent condition. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool is back to normal. Some palm trees seem to be gone and the remaining ones have few leaves but they are recovering. There is more beach vegetation than I expected which is good. A few restaurants are back but others (Island Cow and Dairy Queen) are not back yet? The main Baileys is gone but there is a "bit of baileys" open on the road to captiva. Ding Darling is also in the recover mode. The main road is fine and the half way restrooms are open but most boardwalks are gone. There are still a couple of nice trails and we saw a "snakebird" Lots more water and it seems fewer sandbars for the birds. Overall Sandalfoot is still great and the islands of Sanibel and captiva are coming back.

Place was nice. Exactly like the pictures. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach. We got into a routine real quick of a few hours at the beach and in the gulf, a quick rinse at the pool shower and a half hour of floating around in the pool before a real shower and a great dinner! We were there for over a week, so we were able to hit a lot of the local restaurants, both on the island as well as near by Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach.
