"We absolutely loved this place. Last minute summer holiday weekend booking for a 2BR Suite. The suite was amazing, with a patio opening to the base of the hill / walkway to the fun stuff. I felt such calm drinking a Fiddlehead on the patio as the sun went down while the kids ran around the slope. Don't come here trying to get a deal though... Everything was expensive, especially the little market in the lobby, which seemed to have a sliding scale on price, haha. If you are worried about spending this may not be so fun for you, or be sure to bring all your own food/drink. Some of the highly rated onsite restaurants were closed for the season but the Biergarten was open. I put in our order right before 7pm on a Saturday and could tell the staff couldn't wait to leave for the day. However, they were still helpful and nice. The food, though simple, was really good! If I could do it over, I'd ask for the BBQ sauce on the side on the pulled pork sandwich... The meat was insanely good but the sauce overwhelmed it. Oh well! PS: If you are old parents with young kids, the waterpark may be a challenge, lol. Best be prepared with the right footwear and get there early to get a locker if you can't checkin to the hotel until 4ish. We were total amateurs but enjoyed it nonetheless."

"Great property however check in was a hassle. The room was not ready, we were told to check back in 20mins. We came back in 45 after deciding to go to lunch nearby and the room was still not ready. Told to come back in 30mins. We came back in 30. and still not ready 🙄. Eventually we got our room and settled in well. Other than that, everything was decent and clean and breakfast was good. The gym facility while small was great as well. "

Restful stay

"This was our third stay at the Appalachian Motel since 2019. If we revisit this area we'll continue to stay with this small locally owned establishment. Staff are attentive and very kind. Location is safe, quiet, and restful. Rooms are well maintained, clean, and beds are very comfortable. Conveniently located between Veron Township, NJ and Warwick, NY it offers a wide spectrum of restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this motel for anyone visiting this pastoral area of New England. "
