"Room was quite clean, in appearance and smell. However, maintenance was substandard: broken outlet cover exposing live wires, bathroom door wouldn't latch. Recent paint job (good) with masking tape still around fire fixtures in the hall (not good). The in-room coffee maker didn't have the right filter basket (?!). Room was easy to access and had a very nice new shower stall (BTW - the shower handle was very loose)."

"Beautiful room and helpful staff, but, unfortunately, the view was not what I expected. I booked a room with a lake view. The room provided was first floor with the windows frosted so those waiting in line for the ferry couldn’t see in. And we couldn’t see out. There was a door to a tiny terrace where the water could be seen, between two docks. I give credit to the staff who tried to find more acceptable lodgings but no rooms with a lake view were available. The hotel staff blamed Expedia. The post of the room booked was misleading in how Expedia presented it. Anyway, the hotel is still wonderful."

"This is the best stay on the Island. Enjoy dinner and entertainment at the Grand Hotel but stay here. Everything moment was a joy. Renting bikes from the inn, enjoying a late evening outdoor fire with kits for s’mores, clean and comfortable room with a balcony and view and a delicious breakfast each day. We’ll be coming again with friends and family."
