This beautiful neoclassical mansion, dating back to the early 1900s, is a true gem in the heart of Ludington. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, with luxurious bedding and thoughtful amenities that made our stay truly relaxing. Jenna and Chris Simpler, the innkeepers, were exceptional hosts, displaying warm hospitality and catering to our every need with genuine care and attention to detail. Their passion for preserving the mansion’s rich history added a special touch to the experience.
The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring creative, locally sourced dishes that were both interesting and delicious. However, for lighter eaters like myself, it would be great if they offered a continental breakfast option alongside the multi-course gourmet spread. Overall, the Cartier Mansion is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique, history-filled getaway with outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again. "

"Perfect location for our group of friends to stay while in town for a wedding. The location was amazing with the beach one direction and downtown the other. We walked or bikes everywhere. The property manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed her. Highly recommend."

"This was our 6th year staying in Ludington over the 4th of July. This house was great! Very spacious and clean. Had all amenities needed, the location was perfect. We loaded up our wagon and walked to the beach for the day. Then had a nice little walk into town for dinner. Added bonus was the Art fair right across the street. Will definitely be booking this house again! "
