" Great location very kind staff"

"A spacious hotel with extensive grounds and facilities. Being May and off peak it was not full and so had a relaxed vibe. It was easy to get seated in the restaurants and bar. Service good if slow and staff very friendly. We had a small issue as our booking wasnt transmitted properly from Expedia and so it was unclear to the hotel we had booked half board. A few suggestions for improvements would be that houskeeing were a bit random about changing towels/emptying bins etc. One day our shower mat disappeared and was not replaced until the next day Our minibar was totally empty until 2 days before we were leaving (not that we used it anyway) and there was no way to spread towels out to dry. The variety on the buffet for dinner was great but hot food was not really any more than warm. If there was a way to improve this and maybe heat the pkates that would help. The black rice and sushimi we had one night as part of the buffet were particularly good. Pizza restaurant was good and we also tried the a la carte restaurant which was lovely. Great parking tip for Catania from the front desk. Thank you. "

"We loved everything about this property, especially the staff who on more than one occasion went out of their way for us. The property is beautiful as there is a large courtyard with a pool. Our room was very very nice and faced the pool. Free breakfast is outstanding! Book it, you won't regret. Need a driver? The hotel will call a wonderful driver who can take you anywhere you need to go in Catania for very affordable prices. "

"Francesco greeted us on our arrival and together with his wife Ilaria, were always very amenable. We loved having the beautiful pool all to ourselves and though there are many other things available to us to use, we used the pool and table tennis as the weather was so hot. Plenty of seating and dining areas, with the upstairs balconies giving you stunning panoramic views of the area and mountains. All the bedrooms are air conditioned which was a blessing given the temperatures. The villa is a traditional basic setup and we were able to prepare beautiful meals (well my son and daughter-in-law did!) using locally bought produce. He even made traditional Sicilian pizza! The villa is able to accommodate 9 due to the bunk beds in each bedroom but we didn’t need them. An excellent villa for all families, young and old. We went out for a few excursions though couldn’t wait to get back and jump in the gorgeous pool. Francesco cleans the pool daily and his wife Ilaria is on hand if you need anything. I would highly recommend Villa Ludovica to anyone."
