It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are in the mountains north of San Jose. We had a rental car and no problems moving around. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Finca Paraiso!"

"This is a beautiful place. After a week of travelling around Costa Rica, this was a quiet and restful place to prepare for our trip home. The birds and butterflies were very busy in the morning, and the view is very beautiful. It is located less than one hour from the San Jose airport, and the town of San Ramon has many options for dining. The hosts were excellent, and a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast was provided, including perfect gallo pinto. I highly recommend Casa Amanecer."

"We chose this hotel because of its short distance to the hotel and the good reviews. Overall, we liked the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. What we did not like is the fact they charge a substantial fee for late arrival (we arrived around 11pm). We also felt pressured when we inquired about renting a car with them, and decided not to since they could not send a contract."
