A Note About Access:

The home is located down a hillside path from the street and requires walking along a dirt path and navigating uneven stone steps. This terrain is typical for many homes around the lake. The property may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations, injuries, or difficulty walking on hills or stairs.

A Note About Power Outages:

San Pedro and the lake area have occasional power outages, which are a normal part of life here. While they’re usually resolved quickly, they can happen from time to time.

To help make this more comfortable, we provide candles and share a list of our favorite nearby cafés and spots with generators where you can charge devices or work if needed.

A Note About Hot Water:

Like many homes around the lake, our shower is heated by an electric shower head. This means that during a power outage, hot water will also be temporarily unavailable until electricity is restored.

Welcome to Guatemala - Life here is vibrant and expressive- you may hear dogs barking, roosters crowing, music playing, or celebrations taking place - sometimes all in the same day.

While our area is known as one of the most peaceful parts of town, occasional gatherings like family celebrations, baptisms, or local events do happen. The lakefront is a shared space, and these moments are part of life here.

San Pedro La Laguna is a growing community, and construction is a normal part of life here. New homes, businesses, roads, and improvements are continually being built, so occasional construction noise may be part of your experience during your stay.

A Note About Nature:

Our property sits right on the lake, on the side of the San Pedro volcano - because of this, you may encounter insects or small bugs. While our team thoroughly cleans before every stay, homes here are naturally more open and rustic than what you might be used to.

We see this as part of the authentic San Pedro experience, and we hope you will too.
