"The property is in terrible condition i feel completely robbed the door worked after around 15 to 20 attempts the shower was full of mold and the light and ventilation did not work the room had only 1 working plug socket the phone system for the hotel didn't work. Aircon didn’t work - said they’d tried to fix it but couldn’t and suggested opening the window!! Bathroom was extremely small and a wet room which flooded with limited drainage. "A beautiful very old castle. Rooms a little tired and could do with a little bit of TLC. But would not put us off recommending this hotel. Dinner was very tasty (although not the cheapest). "Hotel is practical for business travellers - no significant sights so if you are a tourist you will find more charming places in the hills near Piacenza. I was to late in arrival to try their evening restaurant. It looks more like a breakfast restaurant ie not particularly “cosy” My room was well clean-keep in mind hotels cleanliness is generally very good in Italy. If not, they loose clients and ultimately close. "

"The staff and lobby were very inviting. We were able to get drinks and pizza when we arrived. The facility was clean and tidy. The staff called a taxi for us to get to the airport - fairy cheap. Three things that were negatives for us but could be fixed if staying for more than one night: 1) the bed only had a top sheet on it and which moved a lot while sleeping. At times I was sleeping on the mattress itself. 2) The mattress was not very comfortable but did the job for just a few hours of sleep. 3) There was no way to turn off the sensor for the under bed lights. Any time our sheets or something shifted in the middle of the night, the lights would come on. This could be fixed with an eye mask though. Overall, very much enjoyed our stay. "
