Best place to stay with great view and location

The property is well equipped and welcoming atmosphere from the very beginning of our stay. We loved a private patio and SPA with great view. There are many things to do around the place within 30min by car, San Diego Safari Park, Oceanside beach, Carlsbad Premium Outlet and a lot of breweries. You may feel a kitchen and table are king of small, however we were enjoying our dinner with full size table of the patio with BBQ grill. Additionally, the owner, Brad was supportive and very kind. We truly enjoyed our 6 nights stay here!

Beautiful and peaceful place

Fully stocked home. Very comfortable. Awesome views every morning when we sat at table to eat. Very comfortable bed. Huge walk-in short with rainfall feature

So relaxing!

Pool, patios, and views were stunning! Decor was fun/relaxing. Bathrooms super. We looked forward to coming "home" each day. There were many variations of fun activities within a 90mi radius, which filled the 2.5wks we were there. Owner was responsive, friendly, and had informed us in advance that we would hear their family upstairs over us, which did wake us up at 7am, but we could choose to go back to sleep too. I wish the outside furniture had been cleaner, but I did not request this during our stay; there were many options of where to sit/relax outside in the glorious weather. Rest of country was having heatwave and flooding but San Marcos in Jul2025 was perfect!

World Class View!

This is a truly unique property! We like to stay in unique properties when we travel, and this house has it all. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, we loved everything from the welcome basket to the beautiful, outdoor patio, pool and spa area. The kitchen was well stocked, the sheets were comfortable, and there’s nothing like sipping your morning coffee while enjoying a breathtaking view. Every little detail was by design. You can tell that the host really care about their property and the guest experience. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

Great Location/Access To Everything/VERY Nice !! -

This is one of the nicest properties we've stayed at in Southern California. Everything is really clean and EVERYTHING you need is there and ready for you. It's nice to wake up and go out and sit by the pool with your morning coffee. Situated on the side of a mountain, the views are breathtaking. The pictures don't really do it justice as it is phenomenal! You're minutes from multiple golf courses, access to the beach and many other things to do in the area. Brad and Alice are great to work with and very accommodating. I whole heartedly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Thanks Brad & Allice for an awesome time!

Beautiful hillside hideaway

The rental is surely unique, an ultra-slim, wraparound space carved out of the downstairs portion of the owners' hillside home. They've done a masterful job, though, with many upscale touches, like a massive rainshower in the master bath and a lovely outdoor alcove that's solely the space of guests. If I had to quibble, I'd wish they had a full-size table for dining indoors and had figured out how to have more space in the tiny kitchen. Also, the amount of technology feels a bit excessive, though the owners proudly demonstrated how everything worked. Motion-activation was perhaps the pet peeve, with both the master bath sinks and the trashcan in the kitchen operating that way. I'm not a fan, but others may be. Overall, this is definitely a 5-star rental, and one that we'd certainly seek out on future visits.
