Charming Cottage - Conveniently located to Cal Poly and Downtown SLO

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located cottage in downtown SLO. The cottage is light and airy, with all the essentials minus the clutter. Bonus points if you find the original 1930’s milk door!

Great location for visiting Cal Poly; walking or biking to our town’s famous Thursday evening Farmer’s Market; or getting away for a long weekend of hiking, mountain biking or wine tasting (all within 10 minutes of the cottage).

The cottage is in close proximity to some great local coffee shops (Field Day and Skippers) and downtown restaurants. Easy bike ride into downtown or a 10 minute walk.

Get a good night’s rest on our new mattresses. Both rooms have blackout curtains and new bedding.

Can ride directly out to Poly Canyon/Stenner Creek mountain bike trails.

The dining area doubles as a work space with a small table and outlets nearby.

We purchased the cottage in 2013 and have been enjoying upgrading it while maintaining some of the original 1930’s charm.

Please make sure fans, lights and AC are off and lock house upon leaving. Let us know if anything needs our attention or fixing. We strive to keep everything clean and in great order. Thank you!!

Perfect Cottage

The cottage met and exceeded our expectations. It is in an amazing location as we bounced back and forth from Cal Poly and downtown. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in this cute, homey cottage.

Our stay at Amber’s cottage was great! So convenient to downtown and Cal Poly campus. The clientele of the neighboring motel was a little sketchy at times but overall the area was safe and convenient. House was clean & comfortable. We had a great stay!

Charming Cottage

Stayed here with my husband and 2 teens. The 2 twin beds were perfect for them, place was cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated. Great location close to downtown and Cal Poly. Amber was easy to communicate with. We had everything we needed for a great weekend.

Great place to stay near everything in SLO

We had a great stay at this cute cottage. It was super clean and nicely decorated. It also had everything we needed in the kitchen. My husband and I have sensitive backs, and we both thought that the queen mattress was fantastic. The bathroom is a little bit of a tight fit, but we had no problems. I would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Location

Great location for all Cal Poly events. Close to downtown and very easy to get to anywhere in SLO. Amber was great in returning messages too. Very clean and darling. We loved it!!! Super comfy beds!

Charming Cottage in SLO

We had a delightful stay in this cottage. The owners have modernized the interior, and it has everything you need, but it retains the charm of an older building. The location is ideal, not far from downtown but also close to the university. We appreciate how responsive the owners were to our questions, and will definitely stay here again when we visit SLO!

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom is small with nearly no counter space but otherwise served us well. It is conveniently located to downtown. Our host was very responsive and immediately rectified a very small issue.isssue

Cottage in SLO

Charming quaint home so close to downtown SLO and Cal Poly. I used the kitchen to cook for my son who’s up there for school and the kitchen was well stocked and clean. The rooms are comfortable and everything was so cute. I will definitely stay there again and again the next several years.

Wonderful Property

We were here with family to attend a wedding, and this was the perfect place to stay! House was well furnished with everything you could need, and was very comfortable. Convenient SLO local

We had a comfortable stay at the Palm Street cottage, which is conveniently within a reasonable walk of downtown SLO. There was some warm times since the portable air conditioner did not reach the back bedroom but we made do with all the fans. Overall a nice stay.

Cutest cottage in SLO

Very excited I stumbled on this listing - it was the perfect place for our family (two adults + 3 kids)! Such a cute cottage in quiet neighborhood and close to everything. Cozy, Quiet Cottage

My family and I loved this cottage. The neighborhood is quiet and it is in walking distance to SLO. The cottage was clean and had ample room for the 4 of us. The kitchen is fully equipped and we loved having a washer and dryer. Our host was very responsive to our questions. We will reserve this cottage again when we return to SLO to visit our family.

Convenient and Clean Little House

This little place worked well for my daughter and I. We had a short stay to visit Cal Poly SLO and we were able to walk to campus in the morning, return to the little house and then walk to downtown SLO in order to check out the Farmer's Market. It was about a 20-25 minute walk to either but perfectly doable for us. I definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in SLO looking for a comfortable two bedroom accommodation.

A great escape

This was the perfect property for friends or even a young couple that wants to experience SLO for the first time or to re-experience the college life. The unit was sufficiently clean and for the most part the amenities met our needs. The only draw backs to the stay were there were not enough towels for each guest for our stay and the kitchen lacked some cutlery. However these were just minor inconveniences that did not effect our overall experience with the listing.

Cute Cottage in a Quiet Neighborhood

This is the second time my family of four has rented this little house, while visiting family in town. It’s become our favorite place to stay—just big enough for the four of us, with cute original architectural details, and an uncluttered aesthetic. The host, Amber, is kind and easy to communicate with. She responds to messages right away and is genuinely concerned about the guests’ experience. I appreciate the thought that went into supplying everything you need to make your stay pleasant: comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and towels, charging station on the nightstand, electric kettle, an iron, in-unit washer & dryer, etc. She even supplied a portable a/c and fans during a heat wave.
