That would be enough for the review but Drake Bay Getaway went much further to ensure we had a wonderful stay: Dylan went out of his way to help us resolve some travel mishaps, Lily made some of the best food we had in Costa Rica, and the whole staff did so in the midst hospitable ways. "Remote, lovely location with spectacular private beach and beautiful hikes on the ocean trail. Make sure you walk to Drake Bay (approximately an hour each way) and to Rio Clara (approximately 40 min.). We almost didn’t go to Pablo and Lucia’s as I wasn’t feeling well prior to our stay. So happy wewent as their open air house is very nice and Pablo, Lucia and Sophia were very helpful and delightful. We also recommend doing a Corcorvado National park tour which Pablo and Lucia organized for us. "

"This lovely hotel, in the tiny, unpretentious village of Drake Bay, was wonderful. I am an amateur wildlife photographer. The manager gave me Room 1, with an enormous window that looks out onto a guarumo tree. In this tree arrived, in turn, a toucan, a pair of aracaris, tanagers, tityrus, caracaras, golden-naped woodpeckers, multiple iguanas, hummingbirds - it was simply incredible. I took the best pictures I've ever taken. The pool and the bar are nice, and everyone is friendly. Just one thing: you will be waking up early. The woodpeckers and howler monkeys will take care of that. "
