"Loved my stay from beginning to end. The property uses self check-in, which was great because I arrived at an odd time. It went very smoothly. The instructions they sent were very detailed. My room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was quick, convenient, and tasty. The outdoor seating area was lovely. I can’t say enough good things about the property. "

"Nice and quiet spot surrounded by beautiful gardens. Rooms were very clean with nice interior. Dined at the restaurant for dinner which was delicious and breakfast was generous. Pool was nice with a beautiful view of Mt Etna. Highly recommend if you want something a bit more intimate and away from the larger towns. "

"My boyfriend and I were traveling in Sicily spontaneously, so we usually booked the hotel on the day of arrival. The hotels in Catania are not cheap, B&B usually doesn't have a front desk. Umberto House is the only one we find with 24 hour front desk at a reasonable price. The boutique hotel is newly renovated, the high ceiling and the ambience were great. "Lovely place, lovely grounds, nice breakfast, very convenient for places like Taormina. The only slight issue we had was that we were looking forward to having dinner in their restaurant, where much of the food cooked would come from the farm itself, but they stop opening in the evenings from 20th October until April - we arrived 22nd October! Shame, and it would have been useful if this was advertised - they do still provide lunches at weekends though, in the off-season."
