On the hill in front of the famous tower of San Gimignano, inside our Tenuta Melograni, stands Villa Sarah.
The Villa, obtained from a careful and meticulous restoration.
Particular attention was paid in order to ensure guest an unforgettable stay and find their “home away from home”. Villa Sarah has been restored with valuable materials such as ancient handmade terracotta, bathrooms completely in travertine and kitchens in Carrara marble “calacatta”, chestnut beams and fixtures in fine local cypress wood.

Villa Sarah enjoys spectacular views of the famous towers of San Gimignano. A large garden surrounds the entire structure and also the four-sided infinity pool with spa whirlpool, made with valuable stone of Cardoso, renowned local stone.
Next to the swimming pool is an outbuilding of about 100 sqm with large panoramic terrace, equipped outdoor kitchen, bbq, bar area, relaxation area and a large table to enjoy outdoor dining.

Immersed in the tranquility of this enchanting place, guests can enjoy the atmosphere of the past but enjoying the maximum modern comfort.

The strategic position of Villa Sarah allows you to reach the most important cities of Tuscan, such as Florence, Siena, Volterra and the main villages of Chianti that are within walking distance. One for all, San Gimignano, just 2 km away, is reachable on foot through the renowned vineyards of Vernaccia.

Lucia and Gabriele, the owners, will be happy to welcome you with a big welcome buffet, in an authentic Tuscan atmosphere and to assist you for all your needs throughout your stay.

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
-Welcome buffet offered by the owners on the day of arrival
- cleaning and tidying up of the villa on the days of:
(Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 10.30 to 12.30.
- Wednesday complete change of bathroom linen.
-Saturday: Cleaning and disinfection of the entire villa, complete change of bedroom linen, bathroom linen and pool towels.

-Electricity included in the price up to 500 kw, normal consumption estimated on a one-week check in addition to this consumption, Euro 0.80 per kW will be requested, to be paid upon departure , with maximum transparency. This rule is also to avoid that some guests could leave the air conditioning on continuously for example, even when they are not using the Villa ora some zones of it. I hope you can understand, thank you.

- Security deposit of EURO 1000 to be paid in cash to
upon check-in, returned upon check-out except for damage to the structure.

Villa Sarah was lovely and the setting was spectacular. The outdoor spaces and pool were great for cooking and relaxing. The view was postcard perfection! The staff gave us great recommendations and helped to organize transportation. We had a welcome dinner at the Villa which was a highlight.

Overall, wonderful property. Pool was about the nicest I have seen on a private property. The entire property was set-up for maximum outdoor enjoyment. Caterina and Catherina, the host representatives could not have been more helpful in setting up car rides and tours. This property will not disappoint.

Family get together in Tuscany

Wonderful clean property and great owners who communicated often and help arrange many side trips and dinners. The villa is beautiful and the pool is stunning. The five separate bedrooms all with their own ensuite gave all of us our own space and worked well. The villa is ideal for an extended family get together. Location and views are great although we would say do not plan on walking to and from San Gimignano - it is a long, dusty and very uphill walk.

Magical Celebration at Villa Sarah

We had a magical stay at Villa Sarah. The home is beautiful and the views look like paintings. Communication could not have been easier but it’s above and beyond your typical VRBO. Their team arranged for a driver (the fabulous Sonia!), an incredible chef, and wine tours. Sonia even got my son in to see her eye doctor one afternoon. Every recommendation the owners made was spot on. I can’t wait to return!

Really enjoyed ourselves. The villa was clean and beautiful. Updated too. Great views. Outside kitchen was super. Only suggestion is to have the pool, or at least the jacuzzi, heated. The water was too chilly in October to really enjoy.

This property is beautiful! The views are amazing, the house is nice, and the pool and outdoor living space are gorgeous. The owners and staff were all kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the planning of our trip and the time we were there. We did the chef’s dinner and it was a highlight of our trip. Chef Priscilla and her assistant prepared a delicious meal and were warm, friendly, and a delight to spend the evening with. I highly recommend Villa Sarah.

Once in a lifetime family trip in Tuscany

Villa Sarah was the perfect accommodation for our multi-generational family trip in Tuscany. Everyone had their own space but there were also gathering spaces for family fun, including cooking classes, yoga, puzzles, cards and more. Caterina, the concierge, is very responsive and helped us with every detail, including restaurant reservations, transfers, activities, and our last minute need for a wheelchair rental and a recommendation for a nearby hotel for extra guests. We highly recommend!!!

A dream come true

Villa Sarah is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. Even after seven blissful days, we still couldn’t believe we had the privilege of staying here. The views from the house of the rolling Tuscan hills and enchanting San Gimignano in the distance is a sight we will all treasure forever. The house is so thoughtfully designed and furnished by the owner, Gabriele. You really feel at home, but with every luxury, including five whimsical bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, stunning views around every corner, outdoor showers, the most GORGEOUS outdoor kitchen and farmhouse table, ping pong, foosball, washer/dryer. We slept most nights with the window open to the fresh air and peaceful bird sounds. My only regret is not booking this place for longer than a week, but we will be back. We spent plenty of time in the comfort of this insane property, but also enjoyed day trips to Florence, Montepulciano, Pisa, and Certaldo. San Gimignano is a short car ride from the house (the ride also provides some incredible landscapes). BOOK VILLA SARAH! We are forever changed by this incredible experience!!

Amazing family birthday celebration

The villa was amazing. My family of 5 celebrated my 60th birthday at the Villa Sarah. You can’t ask for more picturesque views. Hard to believe you are looking at a real landscape and not a painting of a perfect Tuscan landscape. No noisy neighbors nearby or obstructed views, just the pure magic of the San Gimignano village, vineyards and rolling hills. The Tuscan cooking class in the outdoor kitchen was a highlight. It was a hugely bonding experience for our family. Even those who don’t like to cook, loved it, and the chefs made it all so easy and fun. Gabriele and Caterina were so responsive to all our needs, making dinner reservations, wine tasting and arranging a car to take us to the Cinque Terre. Beautiful memories for all of us.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth

From start to finish Villa Sarah was truly an amazing and unforgettable experience for our family. Planning and communicating with owner Gabriel and Miss Caterina was extremely easy and efficient, with all details coordinated to our requests. The recommended tours were spectacular to Siena, Chianti, and Florence with the ease of our personal driver, Sonia! Personal chef night at the Villa with the talented and exuberant Chef Priscilla is NOT to be missed! Birthday Celebration

We had an incredible time at Villa Sarah. As amazing as the photos are, they do not do justice to the beauty of the villa and the surrounding countryside. The view from the pool is unlike anything else you will experience and is alone worth the price of the villa. We rented the villa for 7 nights with 10 adults and 2 children, which were easily accommodated. Gabriel, Caterina, and team were incredibly responsive and easy to work with and they were able to recommend a number of activities and experiences for our group. The highlight of the trip by far was the cooking class in the outdoor kitchen - highly recommended! Gabriel and Caterina were also able to arrange for a professional photographer to come and capture the cooking class. As others have mentioned, the welcome spread is certainly enough food to tide your group over for the day of arrival. There are plenty of grocery stores a short drive away that can provide you with anything else you need. There are also countless hill towns, restaurants, and vineyards in the surrounding area that Gabriel and his team can recommend. Thank you to Gabriel, Caterina, and team for creating a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience for our family.

Perfect month stay with family and friends

Villa Sarah was everything we expected and more. Owners, Gabriel and Lucia, and concierge, Caterina were all very helpful and responsive prior to and during our stay. The location of Villa Sarah is just a short drive or long walk up to the village of San Gimignano. Siena, Florence, Montepulciano, Lucca, Pisa, Volterra are within an hour drive making it the perfect location for day trips. The highlights each week were our cooking classes and chef prepared meals in the wonderful outdoor kitchen area. Chefs, Sergio and Priscilla and helpers, Francesca and Senna were wonderful. Dining al fresco every evening while watching the sunset over the Tuscan countryside was priceless. We took full advantage of the beautiful pool and jacuzzi. Villa Sarah was the perfect place for us to share our love of Tuscany with family and friends. We look forward to returning.

50th Anniversary Trip of a Lifetime

Villa Sarah was beautiful inside and out! The 5 bedrooms all had king sized very comfortable beds and private bathrooms, perfect for 5 couples traveling together. Our great experience started way in advance of our visit as Catarina helped us plan all the details of our trip from a private chef, wine tastings, area restaurants, an on-site cooking class and private transportation back to Florence. Everything happened just as planned with no issues whatsoever. As wonderful as the villa was, the grounds and views were even better. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for our cooking class and, a little too cool for swimming, the pool was stunning. Even more stunning was the view of the country side and San gimignano. It was like stepping out into a fairy tale every morning. We will go back as soon as we can!

Beautiful property with spectacular views

We had a group of eight adults and were very comfortable. The large living dining area and outside cabana with full kitchen gives plenty of options. The location is 5 minutes by car to the charming city of San Gimignano. The views of the city and the Tuscan countryside are amazing. The owners had an amazing buffet of Italian meats, cheeses and breads set out upon arrival and a packet of useful information for the surrounding area. They arranged a chef to prepare a dinner one night and a cooking class on another. We had the best time and the food was wonderful. We arranged some side trips to wineries and the Parma region with the Villa's driver, Sonia. She was a wonderful driver and so helpful. Unfortunately, the pool was not open during our stay, but overall, our stay at Villa Sarah was a truly wonderful experience. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely villa.

The villa was in good condition. The Tuscan countryside is beautiful and you can see the towers of San Gimignano on the hillside. The website discusses walking to San Gimignano. That is a reality if you are in your 20’s and in great shape. It is all UPHILL and a long way away. It may be an estimated 2 KM but that is as the crow flys. NOT WALKABLE. Transport is a BIG issue. RENT A CAR!!!!! It will cost €120 for roundtrip transportation to San Gimignano which is about a 6 minute car ride. There are also limited choices for drivers. BOOK EARLY and rent a car!!!! The POOL is lovely and inviting but NOT HEATED. It was very cold and Almost unusable. The chef for dinner did a great job. Best ribs we have ever had. You are NOT allowed to being in your own chef so don’t research anything else.

Unforgettable Tuscany Birthday Celebration

Considerable time and effort went into finding and selecting Villa Sarah. We rented the property for a 5 day stay with 4 adults and 2 kids for my 50th birthday celebration. The hosts went out of their way to communicate with us all along the way - from the initial booking 9 months ahead of the trip right up to arrival. The villa itself has been beautifully renovated including amazing outdoor space (pool, elaborate outdoor kitchen and game area) overlooking a breathtaking view of iconic vines and the ancient walled village of San Gimignano. The 5 bedrooms are all similar in size and each feature their own en suite bathroom. There are two bedrooms down and 3 up stairs - all similarly sized and appointed. The outdoor space is a welcome addition as the combined kitchen and small living area are on the only "common" areas inside the house itself... opening the wonderful double doors at the entry to access the outdoor space creates an expansive overflow area connecting in and out beautifully. The hosts connected us with their chef partners who we engaged (additional cost) to come in and prepare meals for us on two nights - they know the space well and used both indoor and outdoor kitchens to prepare authentic Italian dining for our group. We had a designated point of contact for any questions or issues while at the villa and given that we were the first visitors of the season, we did encounter a few issues all of which were resolved. Can't wait to come back!!!

To those looking for a villa..... I must first start by saying that in the town I live in..... when I find the best painter, plumber, electrician, restaurant etc and people call me for a recommendation..... they look no further after consulting with me as they know if I recommend someone.... they are the BEST!!! With my whole heart I recommend Villa Sarah to anyone looking to stay in Tuscany at the BEST Villa in Tuscany!!! From start to finish the experience was perfect!!!! Gabriel and Lucia own Villa Sarah and they are absolutely beautiful people!!! Caterina will be your contact/go-to for everything after your initial request for booking and she is AMAZING!!!!!! I have no words.....she is timely with her response to any and all inquiries and her recommendations on all fronts are exceptional!! She never gets frustrated with the many requests....she is just lovely!!! I must also include Sonia and Marco, our drivers for the week. They are also wonderful people who made our vacation one of the best ever!!!! The Villa is exquisite.....absolutely GORGEOUS!! It is well equip with everything you would need and VERY clean....feels like you are living with royalty!!! The views are the best you might see in your lifetime!!!!!! The pool and outdoor eating area .... GORGEOUS!!!! For us this was a trip of a lifetime and we all feel that we now have family at Villa Sarah.....Gabriel, Lucia, Caterina, Sonia, Marco, and Sergio (He came to the villa for our cooking class....AMAZING!!) we are so grateful!!!! We can't wait to come back and visit again!!!!! XOXO PS. A shout out to Renzo who owns the restaurant in walking distance to the villa..... Fattoria Poggio Alloro!!!! The BEST of the BEST!!!! Beyond our Dreams

I researched Villas to rent for our family for over a year before selecting Villa Sarah. In the shadow of San Gimignano south of Florence Villa Sarah has incredible facilities, close to activities for every age and serviced by a top notch staff. Covid delayed our arrival to Italy by a year. The owners could not have been more accommodating and understanding . They truly have you and your families needs in mind every step of the vacation process. THE PROPERTY With five bedrooms and each with its' own bath, all accommodations were new, very comfortable and beautifully appointed. Three bedrooms up and two down offered privacy for all with beautiful views from every window. Truthfully my favorite time of the day was early morning listening to the hillside of Tuscany awaken. Birds, roosters, bumble bees all greeted us Italian style. We heard the occasional tractor in the vineyards. No cars. No planes. No news. It was vacation unplugged! It was heavenly. There are two kitchens...one inside and one outside. The pool was our family favorite as we gathered everyday after an activity or a "duff" day. Laundry facilities were a special plus. Housekeeping was wonderful to have and the grounds beautifully maintained. Villa Sarah is at the end of a country lane. NEVER did we feel uncomfortable or concerned about security. I honestly can say there is absolutely nothing about the Villa that isn't positive. I close my eyes and wish I was just beginning our stay..... ACTIVITIES Upon arriving from France, Chicago, and Rome Villa Sarah greeted us with a "Italian " spread of antipasto. We had our first dinner 5 minutes away at Poggio Alloro (family style farm dining). The owners arranged two dinner for us prepared in the outdoor kitchen (A MUST) and also a cooking class on site. San Gimigiano is close by and the great dining choices numerous. Day trips to Siena, Florence and Montalcino (wine tours)were easy. The location of Villa Sarah can NOT be beat STAFF Finally I can not say enough about the entire staff especially Caterina. Any question...... any concerns were promptly addressed. It was as if we had our own private concierge. I would give Villa Sarah 100 stars I could. If you are looking for a vacation in Tuscany close to historic sites, with incredible vistas and with service unsurpassed, I HIGHLY recommend Villa Sarah. Thank you Gabriele and Caterina for making lifetime memories for our family.

A 5 Star Experience !!!!

5 star everything! Book this house without any hesitation; you will not regret it . We loved our stay and are looking forward to coming back next year. The view from the house, the garden, the hospitality, the surroundings and also the layout of the house - all awesome! We enjoyed our daily walks through the breathtakingly beautiful neighborhood. There are several wineries in the neighborhood that offer wine tasting and food and always amazing views of Toscana’s wine region. You will love the hosts of this house; Gabriele, Lucia with daughter Carolina are so very generous and willing to help with anything. They are real sweethearts. They invited us several times out to dinner to the winery up the street and on top of it, Lucia cooked a delicious meal for us (Ragu with pasta :-) The welcome buffet tied us over for several days. The house is well equipped and has everything you need. It is all functioning and decorated with great taste. The outdoor kitchen and dining room is a wonderful spot to hang out - the pool and the view of San Gimignano makes it very special. Sam Gimignano is a treat. very charming with shopping and restaurants. Since we stayed in that house for a month, we needed to keep our daily routine - we found a gym and grocery stores in Poggiobonzi, a town 12 minutes away. We recommend visiting Siena and Volterra - it’s a beautiful drive through Tuscany. Florence is easily reachable by train. Gabriele, Lucia, Carolina, thank you for everything

Just perfect!

We had our children and granddaughters join us for a week at Villa Sarah to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It was wonderful. The villa is lovely and the view can not be beat. The pool and outdoor dining kitchen were a couple of our favorite gathering areas. They arrange to have a chef come in three nights and that was delicious and super convenient. On the nights that we did go out to dinner Caterina arranged a driver for us on those evenings. The villa was stocked with all the basics to get us started and a huge Tuscan meat and cheese platters to celebrate our arrival. It was a week that none of us will forget!
