"El resort está bien mantenido y, desde nuestra última visita, se notan mejoras claras en el restaurante y en otras áreas del hotel. Mi única queja es que las camas son muy pequeñas y las almohadas, duras y también pequeñas. Nos gustó mucho poder hacer las caminatas y creo que aún queda mucho donde pueden mejorar, como un espacio para niños y algún tipo de espacio donde uno se pueda bañar, sea una piscina, ojalá con agua fría como la del río, o algo similar. Tuvimos una muy buena experiencia y volveríamos."

"We had the best time at Lamangata - the hotel is stunning. You can tell Hernan & team take immense pride in the property, as it's impeccably cared for. The pool is also an absolute dream. One thing to note is that the property functions a bit like a chalet, with a setup designed to encourage interaction among guests. If you are open to this, it’s a massive highlight. The rooms are beautiful and offer sweeping views over the vast forest all the way down to the ocean. The surprising highlight of the trip was the unbelievable food. Chefs Eladio and Tony make everything from scratch, and it's all delicious. For activities, my friend took surf lessons and had a fantastic time, learning a huge amount in a very short period. Junior (the head coach) is an incredible teacher. Even though I didn’t surf this time, watching them made me want to come back for a dedicated week of learning! Location-wise, the hotel is situated up a long gravel road, so having a 4x4 is definitely helpful. However, the hotel team is also great at getting you wherever you need to go. You can't walk anywhere directly from the property, but it’s only a quick 10-15 minute drive to the nearest small town. The only minor inconveniences were that the Wi-Fi and the air conditioning in our room could occasionally be a little unreliable. However, the staff always sorted it out quickly, so it really didn't impact our stay. Overall, Lamangata is a truly special place. I can't wait to return!"

"Over all the house was good. Only complaints are it was poorly stocked. There wasn’t any salt/pepper for cooking or any seasonings. There was only one roll of paper towels for ten days. There are photos of a TV in the living room but that is no longer there either. Overall it’s a beautiful location and was clean, just some small annoyance for the price."

From early morning with a tasty breakfast, the staff is available to assist you in making your plans for another enjoyable day onsite or with numerous options for touring nearby. "EXCELLENT!!! This place was a dream come true. The pool was Huge, very deep and swimable and really warm. We went with 6 adults and 5 kids and had the time of our lives. Watching the monkeys play on the roofs was something we will never forget. All the toucans and so many other birds flying overhead during the day made it so interesting and the Owls watching us swim at night in a nearby tree was a real treat to listen too. Spotting all the different wildlife on the property was so cool, we saw deer, lizards, huge frogs, a huge snake in the tree and other smaller mammals that made the drive too and from the villa very fun and enjoyable. The place was Very clean, maintained and well supplied. No complaints at all. You definitely need a four wheel drive to get back to the villa. But Soooo worth it!!!!"
