The Ocean Awaits is a spacious two-story townhome featuring 2 master bedrooms + den, 2 full bathrooms, and a downstairs half-bath, located just one block from the boardwalk and beach!

This home combines comfort and convenience in a prime Pacific Beach location—peaceful enough to relax, yet steps from shops, restaurants, and all the action. Perfect for families, friends, or small groups looking to enjoy beach living at its finest.

The open living room invites you to gather around the wood-burning fireplace, enjoy your favorite shows on the smart TV with streaming capabilities, or play one of the many board games with family and friends. The back patio is fully enclosed and ideal for grilling, relaxing, or spending time with your furry companion.

Both upstairs master suites feature in-suite full bathrooms with shower-tub combos, large walk-in closets, and smart TVs. The guest master includes a large desk, ideal for working remotely with high-speed Wi-Fi.

Sleeping arrangements:
• Master suite: California king bed
• Guest suite: queen bed
• Lower-level den: bunk beds

The large kitchen is fully stocked for meals at home and includes a bistro table for breakfast. Appliances include: dishwasher, gas stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, blender, standard coffee maker, and ample pantry space.

Portable fans are provided, and portable A/C units are available for rent (additional fee). The home includes 1 reserved parking space with additional public parking nearby. Two beach cruisers and beach accessories are included for guest use.

Located just one block from the Pacific Beach boardwalk and sand, with nearby shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Perfect for a relaxing beach vacation while still close to the energy of PB. Explore the area on the provided bikes or take a stroll along the boardwalk.
Guests have access to the entire home and back single reserved parking space in the alleyway

Check-in instructions are sent via email after rental agreement and verification. On-site signage guides the use of amenities, and we are available after hours for emergencies.

Minimum Stay Policies
• Off-season: 2-4 night minimum
• Summer (June–Aug): 5-night minimum

Holidays:

5 night minimum. There are no arrivals on Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day.

Summer:

Memorial Day–Labor Day = 5 night minimum
No arrivals on Independence Day (July 4).

After Booking
Rental agreement and identity verification through Autohost are required (includes temporary $2 authorization that automatically drops off). A guest services agent will contact you within 24 hours of booking.

We recommend a car for ease in getting around outside of the beach area. Otherwise, this home is easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, and 1 short block to the beach and boardwalk!

We had so much fun staying here. The kids loved having their own rooms and bathrooms, and everything we needed was either there or within a five minute walk. The washer and dryer were incredibly convenient for our large family. Thank you!

Convenient and Spacious

Each upstairs bedroom has its own full bath in addition to the half bath downstairs. The bedroom downstairs has bunk beds and the living room couch pulls out, giving flexible space for families. Close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants.

Multi-generation Family Stay Close to Beach

The property was perfect for us: 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 3 Littles fit into this 3 BR, 3 Bath condo very close to Laws Beach (Pacific Beach). The high use place is a little worn, but clean and priced accordingly.

PB Vacay 2024

My adult kids and grandson had a memorable time for the week, very clean, all cooking utensils, all beach necessities in the unit and was walking distance to all restaurants, stores and beach!! The only thing needed to bring was the cloths to wear!!! Great place 👌

We four enjoyed this homeaway, especially with the 2 master suites affording privacy and plenty of room. A two-block walk to the beach added the perfect end to our evenings in SoCal.

Feels like Grandma’s house

This house had nice updates, but it kinda felt like your grandma’s house. Everything was super clean, but old. Like the towels were well used/old, but clean…like at grandma’s house. The table in the kitchen is strange and made of metal so not great for kids. Places for eating is cramped, but was totally fine for us. The living area is small but has a really nice big couch. They have lots of games for kids. Super close wall to the beach and it was nice to have a parking space, which is located at the back of the entrance.

Tight parking

Very tight parking, hope you have. A compact car. Place is about a 5 minutes walk from the beach. The kitchen sink drain smelled like rotting fish when we arrived. The bikes that are available are very rusted, probably a tetanus shot waiting to happen. The back patio is small and a bit closed in. No view to speak of. As a place to lay my head down at night, it was perfect. I would probably choose a place with a little bit of a view.

Wonderful location for a family trip

My family and I had a great stay at this property. You can't beat the location, specifically the proximity to the beach. The check-in and check-out process was easy. A couple of notes: The home is a bit more dated than the pictures demonstrate, especially in the kitchen. None of this impacted our ability to cook meals. Some of the beach equipment is worn and could be replaced. Specifically, chairs and seats on bikes were provided. It was great to have an umbrella we could use. You must bring a wagon to transport the chairs and other items. The parking is tight, but street parking is available. There is compositing, which is great for those who plan to cook a lot. If you bring a pet, ask ahead of time about the cost. I was surprised about the cost of bringing my two small dogs, as the specific amount was not provided on the listing.

Excellent location

This property was super convenient for everything we wanted to do in and around San Diego. Only difficult was in the parking spot. Grateful that they had one, but it’s a tight fit. Small SUV was the absolute biggest vehicle that would fit. Truly only a block from the beach, which the kids loved. I would absolutely stay here again.

Family Loved It

Location was perfect to walk to beach, restaurants and shops. We had a family of 8 which included 2 kids under 6. We fit perfectly. Anymore than 6 adults would mean someone would be on the top bunk. The only bump in the road was trying to stream a sporting event. It kept stopping and buffering. Not a big deal though when the beach is so close by.

This condo is in a great location in PB! The unit is a bit tired and not updated and photos don't reflect current state unfortunately. Some issues are just from dated space - poor water pressure and limited hot water and others are just lack of upkeep - rusted out bikes, broken beach stuff. Kitchen is a stand out for the equipment - great tools in the kitchen for cooking but be sure to bring basics like olive oil, spices, basic cooking supplies in that regard. Again, location is awesome but condo/apartment space feels tired and like a serial rental that could use some love and attention.

Enjoyed the home. TV a bit difficult. Loved the location. Graduations were going on and got loud in the night a couple times. But not terrible.

Pictures are not to be believed

Property needs major updating! Carpet looks original and worn out and filthy with carpet tack strips exposed. Pictures look great and don’t show the real condition of the property. They put rug down in living room to hide worn carpet.I would not recommend it to any family.
