It was perfect for us, comfortable, clean, had everything we needed, close to everything.
Current price matches the place fairly.
We’d love to stay there again!
Perfect space to enjoy SD for a few days! Dawn is super friendly and did a great job decorating and prepping the space for visitors. We will be dreaming about the beds - so comfortable!
Definitely plan to revisit this home!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was super convenient to many of the places and activities we had planned. We were a group of three -one adult and two teens, so with the sofa bed, everyone got their own sleeping space. The host was a fantastic communicator and gave us some wonderful recommendations for breakfast spots in the area. We would be happy to stay again.
Great space in North Park, easy walk to eateries, coffee, shopping & Balboa Park. Nice spacious 2 bed & 2 full bath with kitchen & living area. We had a great time & would enjoy coming back!
This property was cozy, clean and convenient. Within walking distance of the essentials (coffee and tacos lol). It would be perfect for adults only or a small family with kiddos. I would book again.
We had an event we were in San Diego for and this location was perfect for everything we had to do. We walked for coffee enjoyed some of the local restaurants, and had an all around great time. Dawn was great at communicating with us about anything we needed. Highly recommend!
The property was just at apartment stated on the listing. Very clean and comfortable. The other guests and myself were very impressed and we would stay here again if and when we return to SD. The location was perfect with shops and restaurants close.
Loved being able to walk quickly to get a bite to eat or coffee. Centrally located to all San Diego fun. Busy area so definitely some noise but not enough to deter me from booking again!
We were moving our daughters back to SDSU and rented this fabulous place in Northpark. Dawn was super responsive. The house is is in a great location so close to everything... The interior is perfect - very comfortable and SO much better than an overpriced hotel! I highly recommend!
Nice property. House was clean and taken care of. Location was not great, as far as many homeless people around going through the garbage at all hours. Not sure I’d recommend with kids. Just be aware, you’re in an alley. Otherwise, it’s very central to restaurants and all things San Diego.
We loved the kitchen, decor and how close it was to a convenient store for snacks and in such close proximity to so many good restaurant. Highly recommend one door north.
If it’s hot the AC isn’t able to keep up at the back of the house so make sure you keep it on with bedroom doors open. Overall happy with our stay! Would recommend
I've stayed at quite a few VRBO locations, and Dawn is the most courteous host I've ever had! She checked in with us consistently and was more than available for any needs. The location is also excellent, as much of the area is walkable and had plenty of offerings. The place was just big enough for my daughter and I, and very close to the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park as well as the Hillcrest neighborhood which we adored. The only drawback might be the fact that the restaurant right next to us dumped bottles in the recycling at closing time, but it wasn't enough to distract our stay. I would definitely recommend and would stay again (perhaps with someone who would be more open to exploring the area more).
Cute lil house, decorated nicely, all the comforts of home. Washer and dryer nice
Had issues when we arrived with three different numbers for three different doors!
on opening the entrance gate
opening the screen door
and opening the house door.
The homeless people in the alley looking for food in the dumpster was unexpected all 3 nights we were there.
Neighborhood great though. Great restaurant recommendations from Evan
If you have an issue with anything in the house we had great help from the owners
We love San Diego and visit often, particularly for the San Diego Zoo, which my 7-year-old daughter loves. We've always stayed at hotels, never really finding one with a location that we loved. This time, we thought we'd try a VRBO near the zoo in the North Park neighborhood, and our entire family agrees that we have found "our place" in San Diego.
This house is perfect for our family - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, kitchen, living room, and outdoor space. My daughter got "her" room, which she picked out because of the super decorative San Diego wall art. Everything is nicely designed, clean, and relatively new. The bathrooms were both great - one tub, one shower - just what a family with kids needs.
But the best part of this house is the location. Not only were we just a 2-3 minute drive to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, we walked to every meal that we ate... and the food was AMAZING. My husband insists The Taco Stand has the greatest tacos he's had in his life. The burgers at Dunedin (New Zealand food) were spectacular. The brunch at Atypical Waffle was quirky and yummy. There were countless other options within just a couple blocks that we didn't get to try but are on our list for next time.
All in all, great place!

Cute space, but you should know...
The apartment is adorable. It is small but charming and well-stocked. The beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient to shops, restaurants, the San Diego Zoo, and Balboa Park, all of which were extremely close. A few things we wish we had known before booking is that this location is right behind a Jack in the Box, meaning whoever stays in the rear room will hear the drive-thru orders. Additionally, garbage trucks every morning (7-ish) made lots of noise outside the apartment, and there was a lot of construction noise from the lot across the street. There was loud music playing from the house across the street often as well. So, as much as the location was convenient, we did not sleep well. If you are from the city and used to much noise, this may not be an issue. One (loud) AC unit in the apartment does not adequately cool the entire unit. You have to leave all the doors open all the time to benefit from the cool air, and event then, it was uncomfortably warm. Aside from a few minor issues - the outside area not being clean, broken blinds in windows (this mattered b/c the street light and motion detector light outside the window were bright at night), and the floors in the hall and master bathroom are coming apart in several places - overall this apartment is cute. The host did respond when we messaged her. Thanks.
This is a wonderful property in the heart of North Park. Lots of places to eat and drink, close to Balboa Park, and not far from beaches. The host is super responsive, and the unit is cute and comfortable.
