We had an absolutely amazing time at this property. Literally only a block from the beach. The rooftop has the most amazing 360 view of Ocean Beach! The outdoor shower was such a cool bonus!

Unique property with lots of light, close to Ocean Beach, and very cool rooftop space. Some wear and tear on some things, but overall had a very pleasant stay.

Be aware that you are getting what you pay for a "heavily discounted" price. PROS - Cool rooftop - Unique architecture - Location near everything - Beds were comfortable but super bright at sunrise (didn't sleep in master bedroom) CONS - Overall in dire need of repair, maintenance, deep cleaning - Dust on the strings strung up for fall protection in the open-style bed nooks - Many light switches and outlets weren't working - Dryer door could not close properly without tape - Likely insect droppings on the 2nd floor couch coming from the stairs leading to the rooftop. What made it worse was the unalarmed host who tried to accuse us of sleeping on the couch and dirtying it. We pride ourselves in being clean and respectable travelers - Bath and cleaning products could be non-toxic, vegan and cruelty free for the animals and planet - Need more green building and sustainability measures like balcony solar

Perfect location for the local vibe of OB. Walk everywhere easily, for more food and drink than you can consume. Rooftop view is unreal. Porch off the kitchen was our go to for hanging out. Lots of stairs and ladders, so that's a consideration if it applies to you. The property is in the nature of OB. Not the super-fancy, but definitely good value once you realize the scene you are in. We're all in our 60's and it suited us well.

Our group of 7 (including young adults and teens) had a wonderful stay! We had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The teens especially loved having their own suite on the lower level. The home itself was full of fun touches and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of our favorite features was the rooftop deck which was perfect for watching SeaWorld’s fireworks at night and soaking in the ocean views. Having a bathroom on every level was a big plus, especially with a larger group.The location couldn’t have been better! Just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants (OB NoodleHouse was a favorite) and shops. We made the most of our time here and honestly didn’t want to leave.Already dreaming about coming back!

Overall very nice and clean. Walking distance to a lot of local restaurants and night life. Host was very nice and easy to get in touch with. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot!

Very unique house! Loved the roof top deck, the teens loved the loft beds. Very close to the beach and short walk to all the shops and restaurants!

Great location

My group and I loved the location to all the great restaurants like pizza, port, Hodads and the noodle Company, as well as the location to the beach where I would walk every morning with my coffee in hand. And the rooftop area was a great place for doing Pilates. We totally stay there again. Looking forward to visiting again.

OB PARADISE

It is absolutely beautiful, and in the best location. If you don’t want you don’t ever have to leave OB and walk everywhere. The roof top view is the best!!! You could get lost up there for hours with a bottle of wine and smoke treat!!

Great Location

Overall a fantastic location, fantastic amenities and cleanliness. Almost perfect. Only complaint is that the heater did not work. I contacted the property manager by text and through VRBO chat to inquire about it and never received a response. November is cooler and it was a little inside chilly at night.

Good location, needs updating

Great location close to the beach, etc with great rooftop view, with bonus Sea World fireworks at night. Some features could stand to be updated: chairs on rooftop, shower curtain rods, A/C. Says it sleeps 11, but we slept 7 and not sure we could have slept the other 3 in our party comfortably (they were not able to come due to CrowdStrike outage).

Unique house by the beach

The location and parking are the best. It’s only 10min walk to get to the lifeguard station at OB. We had 2 cars that easily fit under the car port. The outdoor shower by the car port is also nice for the kiddos to get cleaned up after a trip to the beach. And the rooftop is fantastic ! This house requires you to climb a lot of stairs and ladders to access the beds. Furniture could use some updating. For the price and location would stay here again.

Vacation with Friends

Great place to stay with a group of friends. Location was awesome, close to the beach (although check algae levels before swimming) and coffee shops, liquor stores, and restaurants. The place was clean and we loved the outdoor shower. There were many levels and ladders, so be cognizant when booking if that is an issue. Bedrooms were very confusing to understand because most were just beds in cubbies or lofts. Front door a little hard to fine. Overall very easy check-in and limited check-out instructions. Great place to stay.

We enjoyed it, but...

This property worked fine for us and there were a lot of great things about the house, but there were definitely a few drawbacks. We still enjoyed ourselves despite the issues. The pros- great location, great view, thoughtful extras (yay for coffee before we got a chance to shop!), so many beach towels, easy parking, no ridiculous check-out list! The cons - everything is a little run down (the pictures must be from a long time ago). Not a huge deal in most cases, but the dishwasher dispenser door doesn't work, so the dishes don't get clean. The water pressure in the indoor showers is bad. BBQ pit was barely useable (it must have caught fire at some point?). No door shelves on the fridge. Dryer sounds like a freight train. Outdoor spaces need a good cleaning. Low budget pillows. The depends - We had teens, so the loft beds were fine. They didn't like them, but it worked and I thought it was a fun concept and good use of space. Definitely not a space for young kids or older folks. The property is a great idea, but executed cheaply.
