The Hideaway of Silver Terrace

This is a newer unit (built 2014) in a very central neighborhood of San Diego and is minutes away from most of San Diego s major attractions.

It is part of a small 3-unit development (one building, three units - this particular unit is on the ground floor) in a neighborhood that is located just north of Old Town San Diego, south of the University of San Diego, just west of Fashion Valley, and just east of Sea World and Mission Bay Park.

Additionally, guests have the option of a quick walk to the nearby trolley station that can allow access to other areas of San Diego like downtown and Little Italy, Petco Park, and the Convention Center.

For guests that require the use of laundry services, the host will provide the washer and dryer located in the units garage free of charge.

Guest access is controlled by an electronic lock that uses a pin number that is provided to the guess upon arrival. Guests will have access to the backyard bbqing area.

This place was perfect for my needs, nice quiet neighborhood, convenient to my conference and plenty of restaurant options. And close to Mission Bay with all of its options. Nice to have laundry onsite too. Definitely would stay again

The Hideaway was perfect for what we needed and close to Sea World and Old Town. The house was clean and easy to access, super cute too! My toddler loved the slide in the backyard and the outside table was great for her messy eating. The only things we would change, if it was up to us would be to have a larger couch, it seats 2 and the bed is noisy when anyone moves an inch. We would definitely stay again when visiting SD!

Perfect short term stay!

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by the location, comfort, and ease of this stay. It was the perfect place for us to cook, get around San Diego, and rest. The property manager answered my questions quickly and was very helpful.

Perfect location

This spot is so close to Old Town, the beach, Fashion Valley Mall and some great restaurants. It is also near many different freeway options. The property was clean and well maintained.

Pleasant and Comfortable

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights and had a great time. The spot was clean and is located pretty centrally to some great activities. It was easy to grab groceries and cook a few nights, and we enjoyed the privacy provided.

Seaworld / Zoo trip

The property was lovely and in a very quiet neighborhood, had our own parking spot, felt very safe. We walked to a local donut shop every morning as recommended in a book made by the property owners. Close to everything we went to San Diego for would stay here again.

Wedding weekend

I thought the property was very nice for the 2 of us. Having a kitchen helped us and we loved the location and ease of geting to where we needed to go. Our long weekend could have easily been a week atcthe property so we'll definitely consider it for future trips to the San Diego area

Parent's weekend visit

Our daughter is at USD and this location is perfect - close to campus, easy to find and easy to reach highway access. We have stayed in two of the "suites" at this location and they are consistently clean, well maintained and have good amenities. This one is small and perfect for one or two people. It has basics for cooking breakfast and having coffee out on the patio, a lovely way for this midwesterner to start a day in a city with such good weather. Highly recommend and will be staying here off and on for the next four years

Great placy

Over all great place to stay. The part of the unit we were in did not have a pull out sofa but did have 2 air mattresses. One of which wouldn't hold air but the second did. Fairly clean, all linines were clean and tidy. Great food within walking distance.

Great Price and Location!

Our stay was perfect for our needs. We had everything we needed and the apartment was very clean. I booked the apartment as it was less than 10 minutes from my daughter. Our location allowed us to visit with her family every day at a reasonable cost. The owner was super responsive when we thought we had a disposal problem. It was just a reset button! All in all, very clean at a good value!

We totally loved the place..it was just as the ad said…perfectly and neatly done up…the neighbors were kind and above all, a big kudos 👏👏to the host who responded immediately when we didn’t know how to open the doors (lol) he was hands on in helping us get into the flat when we didn’t know how to… another thing I loved about the place was it’s proximity, it was close to the MCRD and other shops. Very convenient, very nice and quiet and above all, a kind and pleasant host. Many thanks Jimmy for making our stay in San Diego a pleasant one👍👍highly recommended 🌟🌟

Nice place, excellent area!

Jimmy’s stay was perfect for my friend and I’s quick girls trip to SD! He was very communicative and even accommodated an early luggage drop off for us since our flight arrived in the morning.The property was conveniently located and a quick 10-20 min drive to most places around the city. As two girls traveling alone, we also felt very safe and comfortable.The space was more than enough for the two of us (we were mainly there to just sleep and get ready), though it might be a tighter squeeze for a family. We definitely appreciated the booklet of clear check in and check out instructions and recommendations around the area!A couple things that would have been nice were a coffee table in front of the couch and shelving in the shower so we didn’t have to leave our toiletries on the floor.Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend and stay again! Thank you!!

Affordable and basic.

The Hideaway located at Silver Terrace is a great location which is close to the city, Old Town, Little Italy, beaches and Sea World. Nice neighborhood. A great walking place is the University of San Diego nearby - beautiful. The building is actually 3 units, two on ground level and one above. We stayed in the lower unit around back. It was fine, but we thought that some simple improvement to the living area might help like lamps, a coffee table and cosy chair next to the sofa. Otherwise everything was fine. We especially liked the use of the backyard with a large table, lots of chairs and a shade umbrella (which needs repair). The yard is very private and the place is very quiet even with a whole family upstairs of us.

Place near UCSD

Great and safe location although a little far from groceries and shop. Great YMCA near by with indoor and outdoor 25 yard pools (you can even get two free passes to 'try it out'). Cleanness 4/5 but was quickly addressed by property manager. Looks like the regular cleaner person was out on vacation and the replacement was not as detailed oriented. Walls/floors are thin and can hear neighbors upstairs when they arrive late night. Earplugs will do the job if you are sensitive to sound (like me). Was there for a conference downtown. Commuter train is nearby (10 min walk), but does not run regularly outside rush hour.
