Spacious Home; Sunsets; Quiet Area in Point Loma, Near Downtown SD & Ocean Beach

  • Beautiful Mediterranean home. Top of the line kitchen: 48" Subzero refrigerator/freezer, Wolfe range, granite worktops. Cookware and utensils provided.
    Large 2-story 'great room', perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Three bedrooms with queen beds. Two large bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with marble and glass shower, heated marble floors. Bathroom #2 upstairs has clawfoot tub. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout (except bathrooms). Ocean views from most of the house. Kitchen nook provides extra seating / work space.

    Two storey great room with fireplace provides spacious area for relaxing, enjoying ocean view and sunsets.

    High quality linens and mattresses (fully encased in zippered, quiet, breathable protective covers that protect from allergens, etc.) .

    Beautiful stained glass pieces are displayed.

    Conveniently located. Quiet area minutes from city centre San Diego, beaches, shopping, entertainment.
    Our home sleeps 6 comfortably (3 bedrooms with queen beds).
    If there are young children, please state ages also so we can prepare accordingly.
    We have whole house filtration system and reverse osmosis system under kitchen sink.
    There is a workshop with studio (on 2nd level) in the back of the property; someone (eg, caretaker) occasionally stays there and takes care of the large garden (eg, watering in the summer).
    This is a quiet area. We respect our neighbors. No excessive noise will be tolerated, and may result in dismissal.

The house is beautiful. Kitchen is extremely well stocked, furniture and beds are comfortable and the location is a quiet residential area overlooking the Pacific. Close to everything you’d want to see or do.

This is a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of the ocean from the front. The hosts were gracious and very available. The home was comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. We would stay here again.

We loved this beautiful house in San Diego! Very close to everything and stunning views of the ocean! Plenty of room for our family of 5. Loved all of the gardens and plants inside. House was clean with everything that we needed and the beds were comfortable. Jennie went out of her way to pick up some grocery items for us as we arrived late on Christmas and everything was closed. Great vacation spot!

Amazing home and area

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was absolutely beautiful and the area was lovely. We enjoyed walking down to the cliffs every morning and hiking. Everyone in the neighborhood was super friendly. Jennie was an awesome host and had super quick communication. We stayed as a family of 7 and were very comfortable. We hope to be able to stay again in the future.

San Diego Vacay

The house was everything we hoped it would be and more. Very spacious, very clean, and centrally located to the various locations that we were interested in. Close to the San Diego Zoo, Legoland and Sea World. Sunset Cliffs was just a short drive away. It was truly a home away from home with plenty of unexpected extras. If we ever come to the area again we would definitely stay here again. Thank You to Jenni for opening up this beautiful house.

Labor Day Weekend with College Friends

This property served as a perfect base for best gal friends from college to reunite for a long weekend. We appreciated the Spanish Tudor architecture, incredible view of the ocean, and long walks along the Sunset Cliffs. The home was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had all the amenities needed to relax and enjoy our stay. Jenny and Richard were on the property (guesthouse) while we were visiting, making is very easy to communicate with them. We would happily return for another visit.

Great location

We booked a few days here to move our oldest daughter into college at PLNU. The house was perfectly situated in close proximity to the campus to provide our daughter with a sense of what living in the area would be like and the opportunity to explore the area for places she might like to eat, shop and explore. The house was ideal to accommodate our family of 5 and the hosts were attentive and easily accessible. The daily views of the ocean were absolutely stunning. My favorite part of my time there was to sit on the front porch and watch the sunset. You can also enjoy the sunset from the dining room table!

Great Home for our Thanksgiving Gathering

Perfect location and home to bring our family together in a very nicely appointed location. Perfect looking at the Pacific during dinner and everyone had their own wonderfully appointed bedroom and beautiful bathrooms. The great room was large with soaring ceilings and windows and a large TV with seats for all to watch the parade and some football during our stay. The kitchen had everything a chef needed for our feast and many extras that were appreciated. Thank you to Richard and Jennie and their pup Buddy. Convenient to the Pacific coastline, and beaches, restaurants, the National park, downtown and even Torry Pines. Great location for walking. Highly recommend.

Excellent Stay

We loved staying at this house - perfect for a group of 5-6 people. The bedrooms are comfortable and each has a beautifully updated bathroom. The living room is comfortable and beautiful and the kitchen is large, functional with nice appliances and well equipped. The house is a classic 1920s Spanish style - just what old San Diego should look like, but totally modern on the inside. Location is great - quiet and with a view of the ocean but only 15-20 minutes from downtown and Balboa Park. About 25 minutes to La Jolla and Torrey Pines. Great grocery store around the corner. The owners are very welcoming as well. Would definitely stay here again next time in San Diego with a group of family or friends.

We did enjoy our stay. The house was cute, nice neighborhood, easy in and out process, friendly host. What we did not know about this listing is the host stayed in the guest house in the backyard. Unless I misunderstood or didn’t see that, I was unaware she would be there. Now it’s a completely separate house, but has a shared backyard. She has a lot of plants that she waters in the back and front of the house, so her presence was felt daily. She has a dog that although friendly and harmless, was in the backyard too and was comfortable coming right into the house we rented. We are dog people, but this should be known for others that might not be. We felt that we couldn’t enjoy the backyard space that was a big reason we rented this. There was a hammock, but the other furniture was covered and closer to the guest house, so we didn’t stay out there like we would’ve. So for those looking for privacy and serenity, this might not be for you. I do want stress that the host is very nice, just not what I’m looking for when I spend thousands of dollars on a vacation rental.

Great property. Great view. Everything you need. Only draw back is that the beds are small queens. For adults I think a couple king beds would be in order.Everything else is exactly as advertised.Also, the neighborhood is great and only a short drive to restaurants on the bay and Ocean Beach.

The house was absolutely spectacular and the location was wonderful. Beautiful view of the Pacific from the front of the house. It was like a museum inside. Kitchen and bathrooms have been updated to give you all the amenities that you need. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.
