Baseball vacation

Great place for two couples to stay. Close to many eateries within less than a mile. Easy walking distance to Petco Park. Highly recommend The Mission on J street for a unique breakfast or lunch. Thanks for the corn hole game and snacks.

Loved the house, but . . .

Everything was great and we loved the house, deck and backyard. The location was great and in walking distance to many attractions, but you had to walk through large homeless encampments to get to there. The noise level from the highway was excessive. The hosts were very responsive

Wonderfully kept, comfortable, and great location. Well done craftsman with a few modern upgrades in friendly neighborhood. Well within walking distance of public transit. Would be thrilled to stay here again!

Charming Home

This charming house was perfect for my stay with family. Very clean and all necessities were provided as if I was staying in my own home. Although, it rained most of my stay, I loved the backyard which provided privacy and room for kids to run around or adults to lounge. I would stay here again!

Spring Break

We stayed here during our spring break vacation from Franklin Tn. The property was in great shape and the house was very clean upon arrival. They have a book that was very helpful detailing restaurants around the area, and other important info. Parking can be an issue but I always dropped the family off and found a place to park. The backyard is pretty secluded and relaxing in the morning. I was excited to see they had a real coffee maker and not that k-cup garbage.

Superb San Diego

We are walkers so enjoyed accessing Gaslamp, Little Italy, Balboa Park, Ferry to Coronado all on foot. Authentic neighbourhood which we prefer. Communication with property management and owner efficient and timely. Incredibly well equipped home. Thoughtful snack awaiting us. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms excellent. Loved the city and felt very lucky to have found this home.

Fabulous place providing everything.

Fabulous rental with professional hosts. They provided everything we could think of to make this stay very easy. Thank you so much.The only negative is that we felt slightly unsafe in the area with many homeless around at night, shouting, going through our bins and banging on car bonnets. A real shame as I'm sure it's just a sign of the times and not the hosts fault in anyway.

Outstanding and Beautiful Location

The house is truly a Gem! It has obviously been well taken care of and it was modern and updated inside and out. The back porch and lower yard were very enjoyable both in the daytime and at night. The view was everything it said it would be and more! The neighborhood was quiet and safe! People are friendly and it is an active but not busy experience with several amenities with in walking distance. I will look to stay here again in the future!

Cute getaway!

We were in town for an event at the convention center. The home was close enough to walk in the mornings, but take an Uber or Lyft during the night. Street parking, never had to park more than 2 blocks from the home. Super cute fences in back yard. Open concept home with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

August stay

The property and owner/management are great! The house was very clean and well furnished. The owner/manager was very responsive to texts. We were to checkout on the day tropical storm Hilary arrived and they were so kind to let us stay into the evening until time to catch our flight. They even offered to stay an extra night if our flight got canceled. Home is super close to Gaslamp & Petco park and easy FWY access. The only negative is the homelessness around the neighborhood.

Fabulous Property, Fabulous Hosts

We absolutely loved this house and the hosts! The location was central to everything we did in San Diego—the zoo, whale watching, Balboa Park, a Padres game. We traveled no more than 10 minutes to all our destinations and were able to walk to Petco Park! The house was cute, clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were extremely reachable—sending out a text prior to arrival so we could easily communicate. And they provided many necessities in the house so we didn't have to go out and buy everything upon arrival—laundry detergent, dish detergent, and even coffee and creamer! This was our first time traveling across country with our three boys and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect home away from home!

Communicative Hosts

The property was nice and clean and had great instructions and communication from hosts. Comfortable beds, easy to use thermostat, nice yard for kids. The only thing I’d warn the light sleepers out there about - one night there was a loud barking dog that woke up our family at 12:30 am and again around 5:30 am. It went on for a long time. We didn’t get much sleep that night. I texted the hosts the next morning and they immediately responded saying they had complained to the neighbor. The next 2 nights we stayed there were ok. The host has noise machines in the bedrooms which is great and helpful. But it you’re a light sleeper this could be an issue for you, and not really something the hosts can control so I felt it important to mention while still giving 5 stars - as the hosts did what was in their control to mitigate the problem and were very responsive.

Well-appointed and very comfortable accommodation

We enjoyed a five-day stay here while attending a conference at the Convention Center. The house is quiet, clean and comfortable. It has been thoughtfully furnished and well-maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped; all appliances are in great condition and no utensil was lacking. Many small and helpful aspects are provided, such as paper towels, cleaning materials, trash bags. The bathrooms were spotless and amply stocked with soaps and towels. The two bedrooms are quiet and have very comfortable beds. The living room and dining room provide plentiful interior spaces. Given our time constraints we did not use the back yard, but this area is a great feature of the house. All aspects of this house met our needs.

San Diego getaway

We made a pit stop to San Diego on our way home from Hawaii. Unfortunately, San Diego has more $5,000 people on the streets homeless plus others in shelters. This home was clean and had all that our family needed however our walk to Petco Park including two overpasses that we had to cross with likely more than 40 homeless and the walk back to VRBO property was somewhat intimidating in the dark. My boys are 21,19 and 14. No one approached us during our stay. There is a Walmart neighborhood market right down the road. It is convenient to the interstate and airport as well. Home had cable and a great washer / dryer unit to include an adorable backyard set up.

Perfect Place To Call Home

I stayed with my wife and daughter while on business, and this house was a perfect place, pretty close to everything. This was the first time we didn't need a rental car, as Uber picked us up right from the door, and about $8.00 later we could be anywhere. But it's also a walkers' paradise. 20 minutes straight to the Gas Lamp District, another 20 to the Midway Museum. My gals walked from the house to the San Diego Zoo. There's some shopping nearby, and restaurants for lunch. Little Italy and mini street fairs are a great time, all pretty close! I almost didn't rent this house because of some of the reviews mentioned homeless folks around. But that is the reality of San Diego--it can be jarring if you aren't used to seeing people struggling. The house is spotless and welcoming. Everything there is easy to navigate, and there were no issues with anything. There's a grill on the deck (No oven in the kitchen, but surprisingly that wasn't an issue for our stay) and a cozy little yard for chilling out. We had a great stay!

Entspannter Zwischenstop

Wir waren zu Dritt unterwegs auf einem Roadtrip durch den Südwesten der USA. In San Diego haben wir fünf Nächte Stop gemacht. Leider zeigte sich San Diego sehr bedeckt. Das Haus aber war sehr schön. Es ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail und gut durchdacht eingerichtet. In der Küche ist alles beschriftet. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gewürzen, es gibt Dosen, um Sachen aufzubewahren etc. Handtücher waren reichlich da, sogar extra nur für die Haare, die auch dafür reichten. Sonst sind die Handtücher immer zu klein für den Kopf.Im Haus haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben draußen auch immer elnen Parkplatz gefunden. Leider liegt das Haus sehr in der Nähe einer Autobahnbrücke-/auffahrt. Genau dort halten sich sehr viele Obdachlose auf, an denen man vorbei muss, um in die Stadt zu kommen. Allein sind wir definitiv nicht dort lang gegangen. Mit dem Auto ist es machbar. Aber bei der Lage ist es auch mal schön, zu Fuß gehen zu können. Unser Check-in war etwas holprig, da wir den Zugangscode nicht erhalten hatten. Aber nach einem Telefonat konnte es geklärt werden. Die Kommunikation mit der Hausverwaltung insgesamt verlief sehr gut. Auch der Willkommensgruß der Hausverwaltung ist wirklich sehr zuvorkommend, hilfreich und nicht selbstverständlich. Wir haben uns sehr darüber gefreut.Zusammenassend - wirklich tolles Haus, die Lage weniger.

San Diego Trip

The listing was acurate. Honestly, the pictures seemed to be taken right after remodle when folage and greenery were abundant. When arrived, house was very clean and accurate to pictures on the inside. Neighborhood was decent and quiet. We did not here any noice from the airport or jets flying out and in. It was very helpful to have two bathrooms and a shower for kids. House comes with blow up bed with adequate room in living room to use it. Has helpful foyer when you walk in and closet to put things. Adequate hangers and closet in each room. Board games link ginga are provided. Beach toys, beach chairs, boogy boards and beach umbrellas are provided. Full kitchen, except oven, with adequite pots pans and silverware were provided. I appreciated plastic plates and cups were provided for kids as we have two. Bathroom with shower was good size, house was updated on inside, i appreciated the granit counter tops. I liked the fenced in yard in back and front for our toddler. The one gripe i had was parking, we had to park around the block most of the time as its all public parking and no spots directly in front of house. This was little frustrating coming back from late days at sea world and rhe beach. However, this was noted in listing and in other reviews so we knew that. Overall, the house was plenty big enough for 3 adults, a 10 year old and one 2 year old and was very clean and cousy. I also appreciated it was only about 10 min from sea world and Coronado beach.
