The room at my hotel was petfectly fine as far as comfort. And the staff at front desk very friendly and helpful. But I have three issues with hotel that would keep me from staying there or at another Days Inn (if they are like this one).
1. No coffee pot, coffee, creamer, and sweetener provided in the room. Did not notice the night before, but in the
morning, I was ready for a cup of coffee. When I discovered no coffee pot, that meant I had to get dressed to make a trip downstairs. Not the way I like to start the day when I’m staying at a hotel and spending $125 (total) for a room.
2. Fortunately the coffee was very good, but the cups were very small. I had to fill and add creamer and sweetener to 2 cups to get a proper cup of coffee.
3. While I was downstairs, I decided to have a little breakfast, but there were signs that said I couldn’t take the food to my room. I had to eat it where it was being served. Not what I had in mind and have never seen this restriction at another hotel.
4. It did not matter, though, because there wasn’t much to eat. No fruit, no eggs, no sausage, no bacon, nothing except waffles you had to make yourself. Because there were so many people waiting to cook waffles, it would have been awhile. No thank you. The ad for this hotel said “free breakfast.” It should have said “free very small cups of coffee and a waffle or two, but not allowed to take to room.” Pitiful excuse for the “free breakfast” that was advertised.
