"What a lively place! Beautiful and peaceful area that is a quick 10-15 minute drive to downtown Bellingham. We sat and watched rowing on the lake while we had breakfast took our dogs on a walk to meet the friendliest neighbors. Our stay was truly a joy!Owners could not be better in terms of home preparation, communication and setting expectations for the home. There was not an item we needed that we could not find on site. They know what they’re doing and have put deliberate thought into their guests stay. We’ll be back & you should give it a try too!"

"Very chill spot. PNW if that is what you want. I only regret that I feel like we disturbed the family of deer that obviously live nearby, but they were very cool about it. Hot tub was good, and my old little dog slept on the porch like she was at a 1k an hour spa. 10/10."

"Perfect weekend get-away for our family. The house was immaculate and spacious, with a large, well-stocked kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds and hangout spaces, and thoughtful touches throughout. Fabulous views, with kayaking and easy access to beach and hiking trails (Clayton Beach and Larrabee State Park) and nearby seafood spots (Taylor’s Shellfish). Perfect for day trip to Bellingham/Fairhaven. "

"The house itself was cute and well furnished. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. To be clear the house was nice.However, the Management company (Vacasa) that provides the 'service' was sub-par. The front door lock didn't work and the company never answered my call even when using the "push one if this is a safety issue" option on the phone tree. I also texted. They did text me six hours later (after midnight) asking if I was using the code they texted. Yes, I was. The maintenance person also (I also texted in the morning when I found that the toilet didn't flush) had the lock fail intermittently - even after changing out the battery. I shouldn't have lost half a day dealing with these issues, but was afraid to leave the house if I'd risk not being able to get back in. Let's not even talk about having to climb over flood barriers once the door was opened. I found the owners number inside and he did talk me through how to do this, but I never should have had to climb over in the first place. VRBO handles the 'matchmaking' for renters and properties, but the management company handled communication and service - and not well! If I knew there was a different management company, I'd definitely rent this house again. I hope the owner choses a different managment company to handle tenant communications/service. "

"The house was impeccable! Views for days. Everything was so clean. Beds were comfy cozy. We had some typical “homeownership” issues. Things go wrong. We get it. And the point person was very quick to remedy. We’d love to come back in the summer! "
