We could walk to the beach for some surfing in the mornings, then head into town for delicious local eats in the afternoons. In the evenings, the pool area was a lifesaver! "The hotel doesn't take credit cards so remember to bring enough cash. If you forget there is a bank of Costa Rica a short walk away but it only lets you withdraw 200 american dollars per day. The room could have used AC but the fan worked just fine. The nights were rather loud because of winds and trees dropping things onto the roof. "This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. After booking over a month ago, we showed up to be told we had been double booked by hotels.com and there was no availability. We had driven over two hours from Liberia with our four young kids. The owner kept saying it was not his fault and he had no way to e-mail or call.
