Hospes Palacio de San Esteban, Salamanca, a Member of Design Hotels
6/10 Okay
"The hotel building and design is very atmospheric.
Reception staff ranged from grumpy to helpful.
No idea if breakfast is served or if there is a restaurant as nobody informed us and we didn’t find anything.
Not the fault of the hotel but the road was closed so we had to carry five cases from a public car park. No help was offered by any staff. Then they argued about the parking charge that I refused to pay as I had already paid for the public car park.
Definitely not 5 star service. Would not likely stay here again, there are other 5 star hotels in the city."
"Excellent location for sightseeing. Great breakfast, room fine with good toiletries etc. Only downside was the hotel was inflexible as we visited during a very cold spell( 7degrees at night 13 degrees in the day with rain) and they were unable to turn any heating on."
"I have good experence staying here. The major attractions are within 20min of walking. The room have good size and bathroom too. Room is cleaned every day, shower pressure is good. I open up the window for fresh air in the morning since I feel the vantilation in the bathroom a bit weak. It is a good hotel for visiting Salamanca. I recommand it."
"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe. Everything about it was lovely, the people were so polite, and the breakfast staff truly went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you wanted. Honestly, it was such a beautiful place to be; the photos don’t do it justice at all.
The breakfast was incredible, everything was delicious, and there honestly wasn’t a single thing that wasn’t good. I usually don’t eat much at breakfast buffets, but here even the donuts were amazing. I absolutely loved my stay."
"We had a 1 night stay and were just looking for somewhere to rest our head. This was a good value option - centrally located and a small but clean room with a good bathroom and powerful shower. Recently renovated and the check-in process was all completed digitally."
