Although the property was under renovation, it was still an incredible experience staying there. The renovation activities weren’t bothersome at all. And the area was absolutely beautiful and perfect for relaxing walks to dinner, etc.

This is such a fantastic area with sea coast. Hotel room may a bit old and under renovating.

The property is located in very quiet and safe area. The view is beautiful! As everyone already knows, the building is under renovation and the room is pretty old. It smells like water in the ditch and changed the room.

It was fun to experience old-fashioned bougie Sweden. Beautiful views of the water. Excellent food at traditional full Swedish breakfast. Antique interiors with high ceilings. And antique Swedes as guests. We did one spa day and it was quite basic sauna, hot tub, pool. The local area was beautiful. There are renovating the hotel so some areas are a construction zone and you need to overlook that.

Very nice but undergoing renovation

Saltsjöbaden is a fantastic place to visit, beautiful scenery with touch of the archipelago. However, Grand Hotel is under major renovation which we immediately marked upon arrival. It would have been good to know in advance for setting expectations. We found it basically remarkable that so much was still undone at the beginning of the summer season. All respect for the need to renovate, but it was really too much. Particularly inside in the hallways. Hotel employees showed a great deal og understanding and we were actually upgraded to a very nice room (although the WiFi didn’t reach it). I know the hotel will be even more fabulous after the renovation. Looking forward to come again.

Hotellet er under renovering, så det er egentlig ikke fair at bedømme dets tilstand. Personalet var venligt, men det var irriterende, at personalet ved morgenmaden forsøgte at konversere. Det har man som hotelgæst ikke brug for. Desuden var det uklart, om “almindelige” gæster måtte bruge hotellets lille strand, eller om den var forbeholdt spa-gæster. I det hele taget var der ikke megen information om faciliteter - ud over morgenmadstiderne.

Wir waren informiert, dass dies Hotel im Umbau ist. Dass es so abgenutzt ist, war nicht absehbar. Außer dem Frühstück gibt es nichts positives zu berichten.

Vaikka hotelli on nyt remontissa oli majoitus ihan ok. Tosin parvekkeella ei ollut tuoleja ja siellä oli lokinpoikanen jota vartioi kiukkuinen emo... Oltiin tilattu alkuun kuoharit ja hedelmävati ja ne jäivätkin kokonaan saamatta vaikka niitä pariin otteeseen kysyttiinkin.. Majoitus on sijainniltaan hyvä ja mukava mutta ravintola siellä ei niinkään.

En överlag trevlig vistelse med några förbättring

En överlag trevlig vistelse med några förbättringsområden Vi hade en i stort sett bra upplevelse på hotellet. Personalen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam, och servicen överlag höll hög standard. Det märks att de anstränger sig för att ge ett bra bemötande. Tyvärr drog rummet ner helhetsintrycket en del. Det låg i kvällssol och när vi checkade in var persiennerna inte neddragna, vilket gjorde att det var väldigt varmt – uppemot 29 grader. Det blev en svår natt att sova på grund av värmen. Korridoren utanför vårt rum var dessutom något sliten och luktade inte fräscht på morgonen, troligtvis på grund av matlagning från frukostköket i närheten. Spat var helt okej – särskilt utepoolen med utsikten över skärgården, som verkligen var en höjdpunkt. Sammanfattningsvis ett hotell med potential, där servicen sticker ut positivt men där vissa detaljer behöver ses över för en ännu bättre gästupplevelse

Das Hotel wird zur Zeit umgebaut, was wir leider erst nach erfolgter Buchung erfuhren. So stand vor unserem sehr schmutzigen Balkon das ganze Baumaterial. Das Zimmer war schön und modern renoviert, aber es gibt keine Kleiderschränke, lediglich wenige Garderobenhaken mit Kleiderbügeln. Als wir nach Strandtüchern fragten, war die Receptionistin nicht gerade hilfsbereit.
