"Nice hotel - but where our room was it was VERY loud in the morning. Also the ladies room in the gym had no toilet paper. It seems like a nice hotel just a bit dated. The food is...okay but the drinks are fine. I didn't use the pool but it looked lovely."

"This place was just ok. It’s owned by a company. The check in process was a bit complicated with a computer. The place itself was not necessarily dirty, but was banged up a bit … like a bad hotel room. The neighbors were loud as was the street. We would not choose to stay here again."

"Greeted by host and showed around the tips & tricks of apartment and neighborhood. The small townhouse complex faces the road but the promenade/beach is just behind 2 min walk (peek of the sea from bedroom windows) Clean, comfortable, roomy bedrooms with wardrobes, end tables. Plenty of towels and 2 nice showers, just pay attention to instructions for water heater if you have a group that may want hot showers different times of day. We did not cook much but kitchen had essentials and nice sized fridge. Convenience shop and nice small grocery market with fresh breads and deli, dairy essentials right across the road, as well as bus stop. 5 minute walk to Salthill village restaurants, off license, pubs. You could walk to city center (20min) but we often took bus in 2, taxi back late in evening 8-10. We were originally going to be 5 adults staying, wound up being 3-but this was still a very reasonable option for a roomy apartment away from the noise and busy-ness of city center, even without a car! Thanks Sean for a great stay at Grattan House.Post script: 2flights of stairs up to apartment, and unit also has interior stairs up to one of the en-suite bedrooms. (Not a problem for us, just FYI)"
