"Overall the property was great! The pictures are exactly what you see when you get there. The sun rises of the front corner of the house, allowing a more shaded morning sitting in the dock. The sun sets in the back corner of the property so there is not much shade to be had during the later part of the day, good thing there is a nice pool to swim in! My kids went fishing in the morning before the sun came up over the house and caught some croaker and pigging perch which was fun for them on small rods. I fished into the late night/early morning with the lights on and caught some specs and a small redfish. The kayaks were great to go take out on calm mornings and evenings as well. There were also crab traps on the dock that we used and caught some keeper blue crabs with. The interior of the house was nice and spacious for a family of 5. We used the countertop ice maker, W/D, coffee maker and many of the extras that are stocked in the kitchen. Now, keep in mind it’s the Texas coast in August with the sun setting on the back portion of the house that’s has the most windows, entry door and bunk room. It does get up to 74/75 inside no matter what you set it on. We used a clip on fan for the bottom bunk during the day and early evenings. The host said they are adding more ceiling insulation this winter so that will help. All in all it was a fun time for the family! Great location!"

"Great property, unfortunately lots of maintenance issues that have not been kept up with. Also, NEED to replace grill. Big issue with the septic leak flooding the front yard.Paid for a late checkout, but they allowed a realtor to schedule a showing at 11am on last day not honoring the late check out. That was frustrating. Not always easy to get a response from host.They did however discount the stay due to issues."
