Such a shame it’s such a short amount of time when you want to enjoy a drink in the evening. Other than that, lovely hotel and friendly staff. The drinks and food are good. If you have young kids at night there’s a little kids party. "

"We had a short, 1 overnight stay in Nerja and enjoyed staying at the VG Hostal Boutique. The room was modern and clean and we appreciated that we could step out onto a terrace (overlooks the pool). The front desk people were friendly and helpful. The location is central but away from the crush of tourists. It was a short walk to get to nice restaurants and the shore. The garage parking seemed somewhat expensive but was very convenient. "

"Great location, very central within Nerja, sea view rooms lovely - spotlessly clean. Great to have a lift down to the beach, otherwise it’s a bit of a climb. Breakfast ok, clearly catering for the large British/Irish clientele, although I would personally prefer more Spanish food and particularly fresh orange juice! Although the hotel was relatively recently renovated, it is showing its age in places; standard rooms are little small, bathrooms cramped and difficult to get in and out of the bath for a shower. There are sun beds on three levels, although I suspect in peak periods they would be taken very quickly. Be aware that there is no vehicular access to the hotel, the nearest parking is 250m away. "

"Clean room, leaking shower, half a toilet roll, WiFi didn't reach to the terrace, TV constantly buffering and no parking as advertised, also charged 25€ fees even though on the site it states all taxes and fees included , when I asked about the extra charge I was advised to question hotels.com so I'm asking now. "

"Pros: Great location. Very clean. Pleasant and professional staff. Large pool with lots of loungers. Breakfast Buffet had many options and was replenished often. Good variety of food options off the property along the beach. Cons: No Coffee in the room. A face cloth is not supplied with the bathroom towels. No Iron or ironing board in the room. One could be borrowed at the front desk when available with a 20 Euro deposit. Pool towels require a 20 Euro deposit per towel and refunded at the end of stay with their return. This was common in Cuba 20 years ago, but even there the policy has changed to providing without deposit."
