Great location. Friendly staff throughout our stay. Pool area was clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast offered a huge selection, fresh and tasty. Vegetarian paella was delicious but the set 3 course meal was disappointing. The starter did not have fresh tuna on the salad, the boiled vegetables were brown, not fresh and unappetising and the desert was nothing special.

Loved our 2 night stay. Yes it’s an old hotel and the rooms are tired but the location was without doubt the best and the view from our room was fabulous. Direct beach access was fab and it was very relaxed and quite round the pool. Also the breakfast was very good lots of variety and an added bonus.

It’s a lovely hotel on the beach with nice beach club bar and restaurant and toilet, changing room and shower facilities if required. The breakfast although comprehensive was not as nicely cooked as I remember. I like freshly cooked bacon and eggs for example. They do cook fresh omelettes however. The patio has new chairs but I found these to be uncomfortable (the backs on them were too low) and not nice to enjoy a book or a glass of wine which was a shame.

Great stay at the Balcon De Europa hotel. Location was perfect. Unfortunately the beach in front of the hotel was a very popular public beach (I thought it was a private beach for hotel guests) and it was impossible to find a spot on the beach. In any case the other beaches close to the hotel were excellent. We had a sea view balcony which was ideal. The Staff were incredibly helpful. Francisco stood out for his hospitality at breakfast and also at dinner in the Náutico restaurant. Great few days in Nerja. Will return to this hotel.

Small, crowded beach and small crowded, pool with too few sunbeds. None of the guests bothered minding the hotel rules on not reserving beds with towels in the morning, so there where large ques when the door out to the beach opened. Breakfast and rooms were nice. Got rooms on the first floor. Assume the sea view is quite nice from higher up. Hammer/drill noise from 00:00 to 00:40 kept both of rooms awake one of the nights. A bit claustrophic feel to the hotel. Friendiy staff.

Just a great hotel in every single respect. Maintains a fully Spanish feel even in a touristed area - though they will speak your language. Super clean, top- notch personal service,beautifully maintained, the breakfast buffet has every imaginable option.. The ocean views are stunning

Good location, breakfast was fresh with wide variety of items. A nice patio where you can sit and relax with a drink, snack or meal. We were not hurried from our table, so nice place to relax. Only real downside is that it took a long time for housekeeping to get to our room each day to refresh. Made it difficult to relax in your room during the day.
