We stayed one night. Upon arrival the hallways were uncomfortably cold with loud fans blowing the A/C. There were several popcorn kernels on the floor by the window and a dirty, but folded towel, overlooked by house keeping in the bathroom. During the night the air conditioning automatically shuts down and the room became uncomfortably warm. In the morning we were able to adjust again. The A/C vents in the room were noisy like the hallways. For $700 a night we expected more. The neighborhood was new with lots of shops and eatery’s. A park with music and a fun vibe was a great gathering place for many. The location is great..however, the hotel itself was disappointing and did not live up to its price tag. It was a holiday inn experience with a four seasons price tag. Do better Artisan.

Clean property in the middle of lots of things to do - pool and hot tub were pristine. Attendant available with towels for guests. Needed a microwave to heat up some food and staff brought one to our room. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the Artisan restaurant, the great shops in the area. We were able to take a 5 min. walk to the Salem mall. Great restaurant for breakfast was the Friendly Toast, a 1min. walk from the hotel.

We had a very positive staycation at The Artisan. The front desk staff was wonderful, and our room was clean, comfortable, and a good size. The scavenger hunt was a fun touch for the kids, and there was plenty to keep them interested while exploring the hotel property and the surrounding shops. We also ordered in-room dining from Tuscan Kitchen, which arrived quickly and was quite tasty. Our only real area of feedback relates to the pool experience. We would have loved for the pool bar to open at the same time as the pool. We did not bring water or juice with us in the morning because we assumed (non-alcoholic) beverages would be available for purchase, but the bar was still not open when we left the pool deck around noon. We also encountered group of young adults visiting and talking with the pool attendant while partially blocking access to the pool gate. We completely understand that employees working outside may have friends stop by, but guests should still feel acknowledged and have clear access to the pool area within a reasonable amount of time. A little more attention to the overall setup and guest experience would make an already enjoyable stay even better. Overall we would stay here for a quick staycation again.
