The best area to stay in Saldón is within the village centre, particularly around the Plaza Mayor.

This central area is the heart of Saldón, offering a convenient and pleasant base. The Plaza Mayor is a traditional Spanish square, often a focal point for local life, surrounded by a few local shops, eateries, and historic buildings. The streets leading off the plaza are generally narrow and cobbled, giving a real sense of the village's heritage.

For couples looking for a relaxed and authentic Spanish village experience, staying near the Plaza Mayor is ideal. You'll be within easy walking distance of any local amenities and can enjoy the quiet pace of life. It's a great spot for evening strolls and enjoying the local hospitality.

Families travelling with children will also find the village centre suitable. The pedestrian-friendly nature of the main square allows children some freedom, and you're never far from your accommodation if little ones need a break.

The best time to visit Saldón is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the region is at its peak.

During these months, the temperatures are mild, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the surrounding countryside. You'll find the landscape lush in spring with wildflowers, and in autumn, the changing colours of the trees provide a stunning backdrop. It's also generally less crowded than the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience.

For those interested in outdoor adventures, late spring and early autumn offer comfortable conditions for exploring the trails in the nearby Sierra de Albarracín. The milder weather is great for longer walks or cycling, and you'll often encounter local wildlife.

Families might also find these times more agreeable.
