Welcome to The Beach Shack on Wanda, the ultimate destination for a classic Aussie beachfront getaway. The views of the sparkling harbour and the ocean beyond are nothing short of breath taking. With its long stretches of golden sand and calm waters, the beach is perfect for families. Just a short stroll down the shore leads to a delightful playground for kids, while in the opposite direction, you can fish off the jetty or dine at Rick Stein Restaurant, Cheeky Dog or Solders Point Bowling Club. Children will love swimming, building sandcastles, and playing games in the sandy beach and grassy areas.

This holiday home is inspired by its beachfront location, combining coastal chic style with a relaxed Hamptons vibe. Both the front and back of the property boast hardwood decks. The front deck offers comfortable outdoor furniture and a Weber BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge areas are framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, providing uninterrupted views of the stunning bay and opening directly onto the decks.

The Beach Shack is perfect for two couples or a family with up to four children. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, a TV, and opens onto the deck with beautiful beach views. The second bedroom, also opening onto the deck, has a zip-bed that can be configured as two extra-long singles or a full king bed, all while enjoying magnificent ocean views. The lounge area includes a sofa bed suitable for two children.

Situated on a spacious lot, The Beach Shack offers ample off-street parking and side space for a boat. Each room is equipped with split-system air conditioning, louvred windows for fresh sea breezes, and ceiling fans. An outdoor hot/cold shower and the original outdoor toilet make clean up from the beach a breeze. Local shops, including a supermarket, bottle shop, chemist, butcher, café, and the area’s best fish and chips at Salt Mine, are just a couple of minutes away by car.

The property is a walk to Rick Steins at Bannisters, around 1.9 km from Salamander Bay, 2 km from Soldiers Point Marina and 5.1 km from Anchorage Marina Port Stephens. Newcastle Airport is just 30 km from The Beach Shack on Wanda, making it easy to start your vacation in style.

LINEN & TOWELS ARE SUPPLIED and the beds are made with quality white linen. Doonas (with decorative covers), blankets and pillows are also supplied.

Additional costs when booking;
Sofa bed $100 per booking, with linen and bath towels (children only)
Port-a-Cot $50 per booking with towel, linen and baby blanket hire.
Beach/pool towels are $8 per towel hire/ per booking.

BOND - $1000 that is payable with the balance of your accommodation and is refunded 3-5 days from your departure date

All booking guests, including Airbnb reservations, are required to complete a secure online guest agreement within 24 hours of booking. This includes providing valid photo identification (driver’s licence) and credit card verification

CANCELLATIONS - Booking Fee is not refundable ($150). Please refer to terms and conditions for full cancellation policy. Airbnb Guests please refer to Airbnb's policies.

NO NOISE - The property is in a quiet residential area which is noise sensitive. Any noise after dark that causes neighbours to complain may result in the loss of your bond.

NO VISITORS - We have a strict policy in relation to 'visitors' to the property. A fee of $500 per head will be charged if additional people are found at the property that are over and above the number of beds at the property or guests not registered.
