Aloberge 8 is the last unit towards the end of the canal of the Marina Rose des Vents in Lacolle (the one furthest from the Richelieu), sheltered from the wind.
It is in the "ready-to-camp with electricity (30 amps)" category and water on the docks (as well as at the sanitary block), and dogs are welcome.
The floating platform measures 12 x 26 feet and is permanently attached to the dock.
The cabin is 10' x 12' in size and includes:
-Two simple benches with slatted bases, one of which can be extended into a double bed (sleeps 3, but the accommodation is ideal for 2 )
-The following kitchen equipment: compact refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker with reusable K-Cup, blender
-Small barbecue (FREE OF CHARGE IF WELL CLEANED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE)
-Basic tableware for 3 people (including frying pan) and/or cast iron wok for the barbecue) FREE OF CHARGE IF IT IS THOROUGHLY CLEANED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE
-Necessary for washing dishes
-Dog bowl
-Side table (long foldable bench)
-Small heater/fan
-Small air conditioning unit located upstairs (barely adequate during the day in a heatwave). The accommodation is not suitable for people sensitive to heat during a heatwave.
-Mattress cover, pillows and pillowcases (other bedding not included).
-Hair dryer and small first aid kit (in one of the drawers of the sofa beds)
-Storage spaces (bench drawers, small shelves)
-Windows on all 4 sides (UV-resistant polymer film)
The large front deck, measuring 12' x 10', includes : - 2 zero-gravity lounge chairs - A table with extension and 2 chairs - An electric mosquito repellent device
The rear balcony includes : - Bench with storage compartment, 2 adult life jackets (MANDATORY IN PADDLE BOATS) and some leisure items (bowling and/or pocket games, ball, pool items)
On the The following infrastructure is included/free of charge on the site:
-Picnic area on the banks of the Richelieu River, with picnic tables and gas barbecues including built-in cooktops and utensils, at least one of which is under a gazebo in case of rain. Propane gas is included. Use is free of charge provided that the barbecue and utensils are thoroughly cleaned after use and the gas cylinder is properly closed.
-Saltwater swimming pool with a view of the Richelieu river ( unheated )
-Outdoor fireplace (wood for sale on site)
Toilets and bathrooms with showers, sinks, and hot water are available a one- or two-minute walk away at the harbor master's office.
-Common room with a view, tables and free Wi-Fi
-Free parking (ADDITIONAL CHARGES TO BE DISCUSSED WITH THE MARINA OWNER FOR CONNECTING AN ELECTRIC CAR OR FOR LEAVING YOUR OWN WATERCRAFT IN THE WATER)
- * Self-service access to bicycles (helmets not provided) and to all the Aloberge paddle boats are available on site during good weather (at least until September 21, the opening date of duck hunting season on the river), including two tandem pedal kayaks, one standard double kayak, one single kayak, two paddleboards, and two canoes. Life jackets are mandatory. *Access to these boats is reserved for individuals in good health (health form to be completed and returned before arrival) who accept the risks. Access is free of charge provided the boats are returned in the same condition, cleanliness, location, and position, and are locked. In particular, it is necessary to remove the plugs from tandem kayaks to empty the water if it has rained, to lift the pedals in the algae so as not to break them and on the return, to remove the algae from the propellers if necessary and to ensure that standard canoes and kayaks are put back upside down in their place to avoid the accumulation of water when it rains .
TO BRING :
- Your bedding (Set(s) of single or double sheets with pillowcases, blankets, duvet) NB As the accommodation is not fully insulated/soundproofed, and the heating is supplementary (small heater), it is strongly advised to bring very warm blankets, especially at the end of the season.
-Your towels and shower supplies for the toilet block
-Your food , coffee, drinking water (tap water on the docks or at the harbour master's office is not tested).
-Mosquito repellent lotion if necessary
-Life jacket for 3rd person or for child under 12 years old (mandatory for children on the docks, in the swimming pool and in small boats)
-Your own helmets for the self-service bike rental at Aloberge on site, to ride the Sentier du Paysan trail, located a few kilometers from the marina
-Your fishing equipment from our paddle boats. (NO FISHING ALLOWED IN THE MARINA) (Fishing shop and outfitter for rowboat rentals within walking distance).
-Your equipment for observing/photographing the abundant wildlife
