"Pros: great location, excellent bathroom and good kitchen. The host, Isabelle, was kind and helpful. Cons: we were disappointed that the apartment had no WiFi. (The listing, when we booked early, said it did). You should know the bed is in the living room, like you would find in a studio. We did not use the sofa bed, but the sofa was a little uncomfortable to sit on. Overall, a pretty good stay for two. Check the restaurant directly across the street- fantastic."

"The owner was extremely nice and accompanied us to the parking lot (parking is included) and showed us around the apartment. However, she wasn't sure about how to connect to the internet and she lacked knowledge about how to operate most of the equipment (microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer, etc. Overall it was a very nice experience"

"Our 2 families had a great stay. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was very central and walkable to the beach, all sites and restaurants and shopping. It was nice to have linens and towels included and the kids loved the bunk beds."

Another point is that the owner insists on giving you a grand tour of the place and wants 50 euros as a cleaning fee. Again not in the agreement when booking the stay. I did not pay that. "Annick couldn't have been a more understanding and helpful host, especially as our arrival was delayed. Apartment was spotless, well appointed and ideal for our stay. Easy parking on the road. Short walk to local boulangerie, well stocked small supermarket and la plage. Hosts were on hand but respected our privacy. Shared garden area, which was an oasis of greenery and bird song. "Nous avons passé un excellent sejour dans un appartement spacieux, lumineux, propre et fonctionnel, bonne literie également. A 10 min a pieds d'intra-muros et deux min de la plage des Sablons, beau sentier de randonnée. Très calme. Merci à Soizic pour sa bienveillance et à Mme Bonenfant qui vous mettent à l'aise et qui anticipent les mesures d'arrivée et de départ de manière efficace en fonction de leurs locataires. "A welcome bonus when we arrived at the station was the host picked us up and drove to the accommodation. Very clean & private in a good location. Close to shops and not far from old town. Host was very helpful providing local guidance. On booking, host sends direct email (which we missed) outlining special conditions including required deposit on arrival. "Overall the property was okay, although the toilet is in an enclosed balcony of sorts in the back with no heating so as it was Feb. it was a bit chilly. Also, the lights in the entryway didn't turn on when I clicked the switch; I tried several times and never got them to turn on. It was extremely dark climbing the stairs and felt unsafe. Even so, I'd recommend the flat as it was comfortable, convenient, and good value."

However, the owner messaged me a few days before my stay wanting extra money that was not in the listing for sheets, cleaning and a damage deposit. When I replied with my concerns, she literally would not respond. This caused me a LOT of stress and ruined a few days of my vacation as I was worried it might even be a scam. If I could've cancelled at that point I would have. She ended up being a nice lady, and did...

"The location was excellent. Close to the beach and old town but easy to drive to and quiet at night. The apartment was a good size with a larger kitchen that was well stocked. Private parking in the underground parkade was great. Sylvia met us at the apartment for check in and was very helpful. We will definitely recommend this place."

"We loved our time in ST Malo. Our host couldn't have been more accommodating. The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. It is a short walk to the old city but has several restaurants close by. The best part no doubt is the view of the sea. The first night we came back from dinner sat at the picture window and enjoyed a beautiful and colorful sunset. Spectacular."
