Family run Quinta in the heart of the Douro Valley. Close to train station, but someone will pick you up there. Very homey atmosphere for breakfast and dinners made from family recipes. If we return to the area we will definitely stay here again. Friendly and accommodating.

The property is beautiful, the location breathtaking and so peaceful. All the staff were so welcoming and accommodating, it honestly felt like staying with family. The rooms are tiny but well thought out, they are kept spotlessly clean, the property has such great character while being comfortable and inviting. The pool was hard to leave, so tranqil. We enjoyed a beautifully home cooked meal, breakfast was also lovely. Angela, the manager is delightful and so helpful. This was definitely an experience that we will remember and we hope to return some day.

Quinta da Marka is just WOW!!! The mansion itself is well furnished, quiet, the grounds are well maintained and amazing. The view of the Douro is breathtaking. The pool area is also simply amazing overlooking the Douro. The food and the service we’ve had there we just out of this world. The staff is so amazing and are so helpful and friendly. We had planned on visiting a few wineries during our stay there but were so comfortable that we didn’t move. They also produce their own wine so we just chillax and enjoyed the wine, food, pool, view, and service The ac in rooms was working really well Very highly recommended.

Our stay at Quinta da Marka was incredible! The location was perfect, the accomodations were excellent and the staff was superb. We truly enjoyed our stay here and spending time with Angela, Anabella and Mom. What a perfect hidden gem on the river. We're already planning our return!

Quinta da Marka is an amazing place to stay. They view of the Douro Valley abs River from the terraces and the pool are sensational. The service was brilliant, with Angela going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. The breakfast was good, with lots of options, dinner and the selection of wine and port was also great. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough, we will be returning.

Angela the manager and all the staff were amazing. The place is stunning in a private vineyard with amazing tranquil views. We had two dinners there and they were amazing. Their own wine was delicious.

Stunning property, spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable. We were met by John who took excellent care of us but the other members of staff were just as helpful. The restaurant on site was not only convenient but served a tasty dinner and brekky. The weather was perfect and the pool highly enjoyable, overlooking tbe douro valley/river. I would recommend a bottle of wine while you're swimming. I would love to return here one day.

The room was perfect, food delicious but the best part of all was meeting the family that ran the Quinta. Angela, Anabela and Fatima(mama) were so helpful and generous with their time. My kitchen visits were the highlight of my week.Thank you, dear new friends
