We were very pleased with our accommodations. We had everything we needed to enjoy two restful days and nights. The property was lovely and convenient for our purposes. Would recommend it for anyone who wants a clean, comfortable place to spend some time.
a beautiful place where owners Steve and Laura, caretakers of the land, flora and fauna have artfully integrated gardens and sacred spaces within the natural environment. the guest quarters of the farmhouse were comfortable and thoughtfully furnished for myself and two sisters who also enjoyed hearing about the history of The Preserve from Steve. thank you for a lovely stay. we would be happy to return one day...
Our family loved the Farm guest house. We played most of the games, I enjoyed the tourism books and the kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of really hot water, iron & board, hair dryer, and lots of seating to enjoy the property. The best part was exploring the trails, old cabins, chapel and hammock & horseshoe !!! Hopefully it won’t rain during our next stay so we can have a campfire.
My family absolutely loved our time at the farmhouse! The grounds are beautiful and fun to explore. The home was charming and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Can’t wait to stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and quiet. It was a true home away from home. Steve and Laura were very kind. We would definitely stay here again!
This is our second time staying at The Preserve at Maple Creek. The first time we stayed in the Barn Cabin and my oldest daughter was married in the glass chapel 2 years ago. We LOVE this property! It's much more than just a place to stay. We did a little hike through the property on Thanksgiving day and had such a great time!!! My oldest lives in Rutherfordton so any time we plan to visit this is where we hope to stay!
Property and housing was great. Lots to see and do on property and more available to see and do close by. Whether you are looking for a get away just to rest and relax or be one with nature and explore. This provides the idea space for both! Ieven ask for another night stay if no one
The Farmhouse was just perfect for the three of us. Upstairs bedroom/bath was private as well as the downstairs bed/bath. We loved the open living and kitchen area - very comfortable with lovely furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the outdoor eating area and landscaping was beautiful
I was visiting the area for business and needed a place for my mother and I to stay. It was winter time, but still, the property is lovely. It is an old farmhouse that's in great condition, and been restored. We stayed in the Farmhouse Apartment (a private apartment attached to the main Farmhouse). It had a nice kitchen, living room, dining area, two nice comfy bedrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs), two bathrooms, lower level and upper level porch. It was clean, you can walk around the property (I'm sure it's lovely in the Spring, Summer, and Fall to walk the trails), and there's also another sitting area off the lower level patio. A seven to 10 minute drive into Rutherfordton. Quiet, peaceful, all around nice stay.
We enjoyed our weekend stay at this property. It was relaxing, quiet, and comfortable. Wish we had more time to look around and hike the trails they have. Would definitely stay again.
The property is beautiful and the guest quarters provided a quiet, comfortable and clean place to stay. The bed mattress and bed and bath linens were great quality. We had a great weekend!
Amazing property and owners. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. It was just a short drive to many activities. The owners were so accommodating and knowledgeable.
The property is beautiful and the hosts were outstanding. We enjoyed our guided tour before we left on Monday. Thank you! We will most definitely visit again!
We loved the property and the lodging. Working with Laura was fantastic. The property is full of history and beauty and Laura shared some of that history with us. If you want a great getaway place, this is a great place to share with close friends/family.
My family and I booked the Farmhouse to be able to check out the property for a wedding we are looking to have there later this year. Not only was the property unique with so much for us to discover, but Laura and Steve have done such a beautiful job with updating the property while at the same time perserving its historical elements. They were so kind and had great communciation with us leading up to and during our stay!
We look forward to staying here again in the fall and celebrating our special day here with our family!
Loved our stay in the beautiful Farmhouse Annex. The owners are very friendly. The property was gorgeous as well. We rode our bikes on the Thermal Belt Rail Trail and went tubing down the Green River. So relaxing!
This property is impressive with so much history! Our farmhouse was immaculately clean, comfortable, and cozy. Steve is a phenomenal history buff with so much history to share! We will be visiting again to explore more of the property and all of its wonder.
