Mammaw's Mountaintop Retreat

It's super cozy, private, quiet, & the perfect get away. Located on 1.38 acres, this 3 bed/2 bath home is across the street from Petit Jean State Park and Lake Bailey. It's also walking distance to the Outpost, Coffeehouse, & very close to Visitors Center, campgrounds, & Museum of Automobiles. Gnomes are hidden throughout the grounds & makes for a fun search for the whole family and deer frequent the property in the evenings. Please note: The 2 bathrooms are in each bedroom suite. The "kids" room with the three twin beds must use the bathrooms in the suites. The security cameras are on the roof. One faces the highway, one faces the driveway and shed.

Petit Jean get-a -way

Leisure get away and relax trip with the kids. Mawmaws was the perfect accommodations for the 7 of us to kick back and enjoy the family unit for a few day

Great Place

We loved our stay and that this property allowed us to bring our pets. We were able to hike Cedar Falls Trail with our dogs. The coffee house is fantastic, be sure you visit. The beds were comfortable. It is a great place to stay.

Perfect Getaway!

Truly enjoyed MawMaw’s Mountaintop Retreat. It was the perfect getaway for us. Good time of the year for this trip (Late Oct.-early Nov.), as crisp fall weather presented a picturesque scene. Highly recommend this location on your next visit to Arkansas.

The house was nice. Plenty of room for 2 couples. It was quiet, beds were comfortable. Petit Jean state park had some great hikes. Also, not too far from Hot Springs and the Ozarks.

Property is located next to a beautiful state park with many many beautiful and scenic trails. House is very clean and well appointed. Ideal for those who want to explore central Arkansas. The house accommodates large families very comfortably. The owner is always available with the greatest tips and places to see.

Feels Like Home

We were thrilled to arrive atop Petit Jean Mountain at Mamma's Mountain Top Retreat. A retreat it was. From the scenic setting and proximity to the State Park, everything was spot on for a short, adventurous get-away. The house was comfortable, accommodating and felt like home. The owners make the whole experience run smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better time overall.

A great get-away

This beautiful home was very clean and well-stocked. Our intention was simply to get away for the weekend. Once we saw the outdoor grilling options, it became a weekend of grilling and relaxing outside. We live about an hour away and we've done Petite Jean many times before, so that wasn't our goal. But if it's yours, this house is close to many aspects of the park and is a great home-base for park exploration. We made use of the fire pit and the smoker. There is also a gas grill and campfire pit. There are several chairs and bar stools for outside seating, It was very well set up for simply spending the day outside. Inside is a large toaster oven and a gas stove & oven. The pots and pans are in excellent shape. A word of warning, if you need Google Maps (or the like) in order to get here, do not rely on the phone with the worst connection capabilities (like we did!) because signal strength up there is pretty bad. GM is actually very accurate tho, so when it says slow down you should. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return when we can spend more time.

Great place to stay!

We had five family members and three dogs. Loved the location and had the best time playing games, hiking, and sitting around the fire pit. The entire family got into the hunting of gnomes. It was a perfect getaway. Definitely a great 4th of July holiday!

Great cabin - clean, comfortable & spacious inside. Also a lot seating areas around the back of the cabin. The cabin is just minutes away (like less than ten) from trailheads in Petit Jean state park.

Comfortable Hideaway

The house was warmly welcoming. The close proximity to Petit Jean State Park attractions, i.e., lodge and trails and scenery, made our days easy and enjoyable, especially for hiking, which was our primary reason for going to Petit Jean.
