'Peaceful Valley Lake & Cabins'
Are you looking for the perfect place to escape for a few days of peace and quiet? Get away from it all at our beautiful 1 bedroom cabin better known as the "The Island Cabin". Which is just perfect for couples, it features a wrap-around porch surrounded by water and beautiful views in all directions. It is the perfect place to catch up on a little rest and relaxation!

Sit on the porch and enjoy your morning coffee while taking in all the beautiful sights and sounds. Stroll around the woods and down by the creek to enjoy nature at its finest. Drop a line in the lake and enjoy the thrill when you reel in the “catch of the day” from the variety of fish stocked in our lake. (All fishing is catch-and-release.) Or, just float around in our two person fishing boat and unwind. Watch the sun set as you cook your favorite burger on the gas grill on the back porch. At day’s end build a fire in the large stone fire pit, perfect for late night snuggling and roasting marshmallows!

The cabin and lake are located out in the country, yet are only minutes from town and Lake Cumberland. Come enjoy the peace and quiet. We guarantee you will leave rested, relaxed, and anxious to return!

We loved it

This was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my husband. We enjoyed fishing, feeding the ducks and just shutting the world off for 2 days. Its exactly what we were hoping for and can't wait for our next trip.

It’s always a pleasure coming to this beautiful little cabin. The fishing wasn’t as good as the spring, but we still enjoyed our time there. We will definitely be back in the spring.

Perfect couples getaway

My husband and I stayed for an extended weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cabin and grounds were better than the pictures. Timmy and Rose were wonderful hosts. We had a great time fishing, the fact that a two person boat was included in the rate made it even better. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed and then some. We would definitely recommend for a couples weekend!

Wonderful getaway, better than expected!

The cabin is everything you see in the pictures: clean, fully stocked with towels, dishes, pots, pans, and even shampoos, so if you forget anything at home you will be okay. The fishing did not disappoint. My husband caught over 20, 10-20lbs catfish, 2 bass, and several bluegills, all that will be on his YouTube channel. This was the perfect getaway! The renters were very nice, immediately responded to our troubles (mostly my operator errors), and even welcomed us with worms and a homemade dessert. We will definitely be renting again!

Absolutely Beautiful!!

The cabin we stayed in was cozy, very clean (you could have eaten off the floor clean) inviting and has everything you need for a short, or a long stay! The furniture and the bed were quite comfy, along with the outdoor seating as well! The peacefulness....if you want quiet, and I mean quiet, this is your place! We were welcomed each morning with an orchestra of birds singing, and once the ducks knew we were up and moving, they came over to visit! We fell in love with those ducks! Due to a cold spring the fish weren't biting much, but you can visually see there are plenty in there to catch! We did however, catch about fifteen fish!! We kept seeing a VERY large bass that we named Walter from the movie "On Golden Pond!" Haha! Having a boat at your fingertips was great, not only to fish from, but also to float around the lake! We left Illinois without a tan, and returned with a tan! In the evening hours, we sat on the wrap around deck which was a huge plus, and listened to an owl who visited every single evening of our five day stay! The Blackstone Griddle was amazing! I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it! We will be buying one soon, just like Timmy said we would! OH, I can't forget Timmy! He is definitely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with you Timmy!! Thank you for your hospitality and letting us relax and recoup in your beautiful cabin. We will be back!!

Overall our stay was very nice. It was peaceful quiet and very clean. Caught a lot of big Blue Gill and a couple of catfish along with a few bass. Very easy to get to with the help of my gps and wife.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We stayed in the island cabin surrounded by nature. We had one of our most relaxing vacations and enjoyed fishing every day in the mornings and evenings right from the cabin. We caught a lot of small to mid size fish. Just wasn’t successful catching the larger large mouth basses. Having the small fishing boat was really nice also. The lake is small but absolutely beautiful. During the days we visited the marinas in the area. they’re spread apart so you do a lot of driving. We totally enjoyed ourselves.
