We had a wonderful short stay. Home was clean, well stocked, and the view was amazing. We appreciated all the extra touches to make our stay more comfortable.
My hisband and daughter and I stayed here and it was perfect for us
We really enjoyed the view and dod a hike not too far up from the house
Able to make dinner most nights!
Highly recommend
The cabin is tucked away in the mountains in the perfect spot to feel private but not scarily isolated. Super clean and quiet spot. Beautiful peaceful views from the balcony’s.
A lovely clean house nestled up in the pines! We loved sitting on the back deck watching the wildlife and enjoying the peace and quiet. I would stay here again.
The pictures do not do this cabin justice. It is beautiful, comfortable, and in a quiet area. The view from the deck is spectacular, especially in the mornings when the sunrise makes the mountains look pink.
My wife and I had a really nice relaxing vacation. We spent time on most days just sitting on the back deck soaking in the views and the sounds and sights of birds flittering from tree to tree. It was very peaceful and beautiful! The town and surrounding areas were very nice as well. The restaurants we went to had good food. Overall it was one of our top vacations. We will be returning!
We were very pleased with the ease of check in.The house is as seen on the web sight. Comfortable with everything we needed. We were cozy and the bed was comfortable. Loved being able to have a fire with the flick of a switch. The views are outstanding.
Nestled in the whispering pines of Ruidoso. Beautiful 2 bedroom 21/2 bath beauty. The neighborhood was quiet, cool and clean. Watch the hummingbirds on the balcony, See the occasional deer strolling by as well as turkeys. As an added bonus, hear the Elk bugling in the canyons. Great experience, great location.
Very nice home, loved the decorations, very clean, well-stocked in kitchen, watched some of the good movies on dvd, listened to music and sat out on the deck a lot and watched the elk mama & baby, turkeys fly up in trees in the evening to sleep, hummingbirds drink & Tom turkeys on driveway. Wouldn’t change a thing except the steep curve to home.
We went for a visit to the city for quiet and just being together and we got the best place! There were Elk, Turkeys, coyotes, birds, and small ground animals off the deck and front porch which we loved. We sat on front and back porches to read or just listen and we so enjoyed it. The grocery is fabulous and so close, did breakfast at Jorge’s in the morning and cooked in the other meals. House had everything they listed. Beds are comfy, shower was perfect, and lay out was great with two decks. Road to and from was typical to this town- narrow and winding. Wild horses on the road to town was the best!!
This adorable adobe-style cabin in Ruidoso is even cuter and cozier than in the photos! It is in the Upper Canyon area, and is relatively spaced out from the neighbors compared to a lot of cabins I’ve seen in the Ruidoso area. So, there is a little more of an isolated calm vibe. Of course while still being very close to everything at the same time. It has a perfect view of the Sierra Blanca, and there were deer and turkeys seen regularly. I am a big stickler on cleanliness, and this place was definitely clean. Bed was super comfortable and we slept very well. The neighbor across the street that lives there full time has dogs, and one of them did bark for awhile on our first night there, but I never heard him again. I would advise bringing a white noise machine or fan to drown that out if it does happen, but that was really the only downside (and again, it was only once for a little while). We would definitely stay here again :)
Our stay at Eagle Rest was everything I imagined it would be. The house is nestled in the trees, giving it a warm and cozy feeling. I have to say we fell in love with the town of Ruidoso. Its charming and welcoming. I would consider moving there. The last thing I would like to add is the way the owners handled our misfortune. On our way back from our day trip from Santa Fe a woman passed her stop sign and we were not able to avoid her. My car was totaled but we were all okay but stranded in Moriarty. The owners were not only understanding but also arranged for us to stay another night to recover at a extremely reasonable cost. I can not say enough about what a big deal that was for us. So If the owner of Eagles Rest reads this.. Thank you Sooo very much, Sooo. We loved your beautiful home
This is a great cabin in a beautiful location with easy access to town, hiking trails on the mountain, and other nearby activities. The cabin was clean and mostly well-appointed, but there are a number of minor things that could be improved. No smart TV and not having something for a nightstand on BOTH sides of the bed were our biggest complaints. Yes, the point is not to be watching TV in a beautiful setting such as this, but it's nice to be able to watch a movie or something that you want to at night - the DVD collection was lackluster. A new smart TV is also cheaper than that basic DirecTV subscription! And, if you have the room to do it, people sleeping on both sides of the beds can always use a place to put their water, meds, glasses, etc. This is such a common thing where owners "cheap out" and one of our biggest pet peeves with rentals. There were a few other maintenance things that needed to be addressed, but overall we will definitely stay here again!
